True. This was also the case. Atleast he identified his weaknesses and came back stronger just like Kohli in Oz.

Nope. Last match was on a flat pitch. Also having been owned by Jadeja in a one day series (0-5) they played him out carefully even on a patta. 34 maidens.

England was a much better team. KP, Cook, Prior were very difficult to dislodge as batsmen. Anderson and Finn were a handful for our batsmen. I dont think Ashwin was out of form. He was made to look like that by the English batsmen. I'd say if Ashwin plays England right now, he'd look like a mediocre bowler again. That said, Jadeja would have made a big difference in the Mumbai & Kolkatta tests. He would have been as menacing as Panesar. On the evidence of his performance vs the Aussies, he is a partnership breaker who dislodges set batsmen who are on the way to building big partnerships. That's what hurt us against England. Cook, KP & Prior built BIG partnerships to take the game away. Infact, even in the Nagpur test, he took KP & Trott to break partnerships. Jadeja is still a cr@ppy test player, but he is good in these conditions. Also we were hurt by our old ***gots hanging on to their batting spots like its their personal property. Sehwag, Gambhir failed to get off to a good start most of the time (something Vijay, Pujara, Dhawan were able to do) and that made the middle order even more vulnerable. Overall with this team, the games would have been much closer and we could have drawn the series 1-1. With any batsman replacing Tendulkar, we could have even pulled off a series win.

Yes- but not to the extent of winning the series.We still had Sehwag,Gauti and Zak. Jadeja , while he is not a huge turner of the ball is accurate and bowls faster just like Panesar. And in the first 3 tests where there was enough spin, he would have netted quite a few wickets.

We didn't score enough, Jadeja's form with bat didnt prove that he'd have made much of a difference. We scored <200 on 2 occasions in 2nd innings iirc, lost both the tests despite winning the toss.

Then why did they lose so badly in the first test ? They barely put up a fight. Indian team also had a number of out of form players like Gambhir, Sehwag, Zaheer, Yuvraj etc. but still we under performed and took it a bit lightly. The team also got distracted because of all the talk about pitches. If they had played like they did in the first test, India would have still won the series.

We played so badly because we didn't acclimatize to the conditions. It would have taken a gargantuan effort to bowl out Cook anyway. Atleast, if Ishant Sharma wasn't so retarded. England's batsman are so much better at playing spin than the likes of Hughes Cowan Warner Wade and maxwell.

Yes, absolutely. Ojha is just too slow in the air to be a threatening spin bowler. He is only good enough to do a supporting job. Besides bowling, Jadeja would have also helped the batting as most of the wickets we lost were to the spinners and Jadeja is good at playing spin bowling and was in form at that time.

Yes, he would have made the difference in the Mumbai Test at the very least. On that pitch we batted first and made an above par score of 320 odd. We should have won that Test had our bowlers simply stuck to a good line & length and let pitch do the rest. Jadeja would have done that and made life difficult for English batsmen.
