MCcricket Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 Lol how can u put such a narrow definition to bowling , Pankaj is very tall hits the deck now and extracts movement of the deck also bowls a bit fuller then most very tall bowlers, two different kind of bowlers and yes he has upped his pace and can bowl high 130 to mid 140 also long spells

He bowls at a good enough pace these days.. He doesnt have the pace of yadav or swing of BK but he gets good bounce. Pace bowling is not onlya bout express pace or banana swing, it requires other skills too. He is the best bowler in our domestic circuit.. way better than mithun and vinay..
NareshK Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 It seems selectors have sidelined him for good for reasons best known to them. He didnt feature in India A or BP X1. Its weird to say and it shouldnt be the criterion but only a good show in IPL may bring him back in the reckoning. Its strange how selectors treat pace bowlers in India. Parvinder Awana was selected on basis of his Ranji performance last season. One bad bowling effort in a T20 game on a flat batting track where all bowlers got hit for runs and he got dropped and was never considered again for ODIs or Tests so far.
MCcricket Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 OK ley me categorically state he in present form is INDIA'S best bowler, please read the article I posted and if u can watch him bowl do it, a FINN WONT BE A Anderson DONT COMPARE APPLE WITH PEACHES AS it is amateurish, the selectors are blind not to have India's best bowler in the team, he has all the requisites to be a very good test bowler, Awana, Dinda, Mithun, Unadkat ae not even in his league including Ishant and BK is very dependent on conditions and will not be successful on all conditions
FischerTal Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Pankaj singh is unfortunate not to be in CSK. The most consistent bowler over the last four Ranji seasons. I remember this one Saffa fast bowler in the 90s who had great potential but was picked very late in his career and therefore had no impact. Pankaj will be a replica of him. I forgot his name though? :((

Have you watched him bowl? I have seen him bounce batsmen out with extra bounce on lifeless Indian wickets.
