In all fairness, when you put together some world class batsmen and some flat tracks, the bowlers are going to go for plenty. It is just inevitable. Look at the batsmen who are tearing him apart – Gayle, MSD, ABDV… These are unbelievable hitters who can destroy any bowlers. MSD dismantled Dale Steyn of all bowlers for Peter’s sake. What chance does Dinda stand? Dinda’s looks particularly bad because successive Pune captains have always made him bowl in vulnerable situations where the batsmen are looking to go berserk. Bad things are going to happen.

Bad things are going to happen. But his pitch map was analyzed by HD ackerman. It was absolutely terrible throughout the IPL. He is very predictable , even he changes things around his line and length is such that you can still hit him without premeditation. Just not good enough to do the dirty work of bowling death overs.

Just not good enough to do the dirty work of bowling death overs. which pacer is not predictable? Everyone is. His pitch map showed he is not predictable. He tries everything, changes his length regularly but execution is not there. He is particularly poor bowler with new ball but because he could bowl yorker, he did pretty well last IPL but this time has not executed his yorkers well and has been low in pace too. He is bowling as quick as BK now and that is not good enough for a bowler who is short and lacks the skills of BK with new ball. Look at yesterday's over, there was nothing predictable, ABDV were so good that he had shot for whereever he bowled, full, slower ball, short, outside off, nothing was spared.

It's not just the fact that he gave away 26 runs. It is the way he gave them away. He got swept, reverse swept, thumped over long-on from the back-foot and in general got treated like a slow bowler. He has completely lost his pace and is extremely predictable. His pace was his only strength. He hardly moves the ball and every ball is bowled just the same way.

How many batsmen in the world can play shots like that? Some of them were outrageous. Some day, they just come off, some day not.

It was just brilliant batting. When ABDV, Dhoni, Gayle are in that mood, there is very little any bowler can do.

Maybe next time he should just stick to bowling six 135k yorkers. Steyn had a similar experience last year, with ABD hitting a near perfect yorker for 6 over extra cover being the shot of the tournament.
