saneindian Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Probably that is it for Irfan's international career. With the success of the young team, don't think the selectors will go back to him. Also, with Roger Binny as a selector, I will not be surprised to see Stuart Binny getting picked as a seam bowling allrounder for maybe the Zim ODI series if a 2nd string side is chosen.
surajmal Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 So when is Pisshead's turn to get injured? With his ****ed up teeth alignment, perhaps a wisdom (:cantstop:) tooth removal procedure in the future. Hell while they are at it, fix his voice box as well. Saala sounds like Andre the giant's cousin.
BleedBlue Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Good selection and he has expirence in the west indies with india a
maniac Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Shami is o.k....don't get the hype...just decent/average from what I have seen of him in IPL and the Eng series...Mohit Sharma looked impressive and should have been in instead.
Ultimate_Game Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Would love to see Sandeep Sharma get a run in the side as well. The guy has a knack of getting early wkts with the new ball and would be more than handy in Aus for the WC.

Great domestic record across formats. Best bowler on the A tours we played recently. Give him time and a long run, he will be much better all round bowler for us.
adi B Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Is it actually an injury or one of those "pretend to be injured so that i can drop you" injury? yup,i already mentioned it.this way izzat bhi barkaraar rehti hai
deathmonger Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Quota player replaced by another quota. Don't play that communal **** here.
deathmonger Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 If Shami comes off well then our bowling along with Ash, Jaddu, Bhuvi will become real scary. Plus another third seamer (Umesh/Aaron?) and we are in business.
saneindian Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Quota player replaced by another quota. Are you calling them quota players just because the two happen to be muslims?
Sooda Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Shami should have been in the CT squad instead of Ishant, or even Irfan or Vinay. Unlucky for Irfan I doubt this is a cover up, he is a better ODI bowler than either Ishant or Yadav. Was very good for India in ODIs just prior to getting injured, would not write him off at all.

I still maintain,he is a better allorunder than Jaddu despite this SIR hysteria going around....Both with the bat as well as the ball.
flamy Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 ^ I don't see how you can make a case for Irfan with the ball.
NareshK Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 ^ I don't see how you can make a case for Irfan with the ball. I agree. Completely lost the zip in his bowling. He bowls like a batsmen who bowls a bit but he cant bat that well either.
vvvslaxman Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Let's see. Whether he is selected for Zim tour or Oz ODIs. He was our best pacer since his comeback. I wouldn't mind him (or shami) as third pacer. Problem is there are too many support bowlers.. not enough bowlers who can lead the attack like Zaheer. Bhuvan looked good. Then he choked in the finals. Umesh is a long long way away from leading a bowling attack. They are all support bowlers.. Irfan's only advantage is his batting.
express bowling Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Is it actually an injury or one of those "pretend to be injured so that i can drop you" injury? Jadeja's allround performance has 'injured' Pathan. :winky: Alrounder who Is just medium pace not needed anymore and quicker pacer is being preferred.
jalebi_bhai Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Didn't follow the Pak or England series......is he a left arm seamer??
BleedBlue Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Didn't follow the Pak or England series......is he a left arm seamer?? No Right Arm Pacer
jalebi_bhai Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 No Right Arm Pacer Hmmm.......won't this make our pace attack a bit one dimensional??? Always useful to have a left arm pacer...
