Sridharan Sriram to some extent. Shivalkar, Rajinder singh goel are two spinners who ruled roost in domestic never got chance due to presence of spin quartet.

Shivalkar' date=' Rajinder singh goel are two spinners who ruled roost in domestic never got chance due to presence of spin quartet.[/quote'] sharath allrounder? he bowled only part time..he opened for school and a middle order for TN. badani was more of an allrounder at that time. there was a more promising guy named ravinder john who never came through to higher levels. badani impressed with a hundred vs Mumbai and caught the eye of bigwigs like sachin.sharath never had such performances.sriram was just like dinesh mongia,didn't have the brilliance for internationals. not unlucky in any of the cases. but ganguly's preference for chopra in the 2003 Australian tour was the end of Ramesh. he was not allowed to fail. Vijay certainly has the most potential.
kubrickian Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 For a period of 10 years or so, it was impossible for any young batsmen to break into the Indian batting lineup which had Sehwag, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman and Ganguly. So you could term anyone who was trying to get into the test team during that period unlucky. :P
