Cricashfaq Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I am very disappointed about the decision leaving Parvez Rasool to warm the benches. At an era of transition in the Indian Cricket, why wasn't a promising bowler got his chance? Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister has questioned the BCCI about this What do you guys think? When will he get chance if not now?

They could have easily rested Jadeja as he is a established player now ..Also , don't understand resting Rayudu when the guy has hardly played 4 internationals ..could have brought in Rahane for Sharma and kept Dhawan rested ..
Cricashfaq Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 They could have easily rested Jadeja as he is a established player now ..Also ' date=' don't understand resting Rayudu when the guy has hardly played 4 internationals ..could have brought in Rahane for Sharma and kept Dhawan rested ..[/quote'] That is exactly what i wanted. These young guys should be given a chance and this will be the right series for that. Rayudu should have been in with Parvez Rasool
Sidhoni Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Of course he should have played. Absolutely no reason to not play him. What could Mishra gain by his 6 wickets other than personal record improvement? Mishra is anyway highest wicket taker and he should have been rested just like they rested Dhawan in the 4th ODI.
Vilander Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Mishra will play well against hapless zim who would not have seen a leggy, he will suck against test nations.
Sandeep99 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Agreed.. He should have played ahead of Mishra/Jadeja
Cricketics Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Should have played for Jadeja since Jadeja has been playing lot of cricket for a while. That said, Kohli was pretty good as a captain and making changes other than giving Rosol a chance. He managed to shuffle around players quite well by giving Pujara two games and making sure Rohit Sharma sit out the last game. Glad he gave Rahane a chance too and good on him to not bat in the last game and others like Karthik go ahead of him.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 kyun bhai? what has he done to be in the 11?
fineleg Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Kohli as captain wanted 5-0 And did not want to take chances. He had his own goal Thats how unfortunately ind cricket goes. Each player has his own goal bigger than experimenting for the sake of future of ind cricket goal Rasool should have played 2-3 matches in place of Sir Jadeja
youngindia Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 a young guy like kohli cannot be expected to have vision and strategic competence.it takes years to develop them.experienced people have to tell him the development of indian cricket and nurturing upcoming talent has to be on his radar too if he wants to be a captain.
fineleg Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 ^ i am sure he is smart and was aware. Its just that his first series as captain, he wanted a 5-0. He got it, but at expense of experimenting to try and build reserve talent
youngindia Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 ^ i am sure he is smart and was aware. Its just that his first series as captain, he wanted a 5-0. He got it, but at expense of experimenting to try and build reserve talent there are many smart and reasonably intelligent ppl who do not have it in them to be startegists or visionaries EVER.nope generally I don't expect most young ppl to have a mature vision or strategy.one basic reason- they would not have enough years of serious experience.,
tweaker Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 if Kohli had planned well every player could have got 3 games each.He should have consider of resting Raina & Jadeja.Rayuddu could come in the place of Karthik as he is occassional wk
jusarrived Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 How much more experimenting do we want ? some one was bound to miss out , he will get his chance at some point .
BeautifulGame Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 How many matches Jadeja or Raina got the chance to bat high in the order in the past? Experimentation isn't only about distributing everyone an India cap. It's also about giving chances to lower order bats a chance to get promotion up the Order so that they can spend some time in the middle and get some runs and build confidence which is very important. And what exactly would have Rasool gained by playing just a single ODI in the series? He is still very young and will get plenty of chances in the future to prove himself. Frankly it's not even a issue if not for stupid tweet . Does Abdulla even know how much players gain just being part of the squad?
velu Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 If he play a game then its a political masterstroke.. RAT screwed it :finger: Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
Clarke Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Patience is a virtue young man, hang in there. I am with Virat on the point that the bowling was quite inexperienced with Shami/Unadkat/Mohit and Sir brought exp & wicket taking ability.
