maniac Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Will Dhoni step down on a high No matter what happens in the final, still a great resume for MS in this format despite 3 first round exits.... but will he do the honorable thing and step down from atleast from T20 with his head held high? It would definetely come across as leeching on if he hangs on after this. As a player he is useless in this format anyways
undisputed chap Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Mishraji really chocked on his sambhar today. Started bowling full tosses , no balls & seam ups like the mishra of old when put under a bit of pressure
King Tendulkar Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Wish we win this and he steps down as captain in all formats.
nitinbwj Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 :hysterical: Kohli will again have Malinga for lunch..
Detonator Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Honestly, Ashwin shld exploit 15 degree rule and wear full sleeves. Nobody gives credit to his clean action. Poor guy never chucks or darts even while going wicketless.
maniac Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Wish we win this and he steps down as captain in all formats. There is no way he will step down from ODI before 2015 and rightfully so despite all the overseas ODI maulings,he is the defending captain. T20 -he was leeching on after 3 failures, but now he has the perfect setup to step down on a high,if he still doesn't than he is definitely a power-monger. Tests,he has Eng and Aus coming up so he better buck up,unfortunately this T20 performance and the upcoming W.C will ensure he stays on. He can get the ball rolling by giving the reigns over to a youngster atleast in the least important format.that will atleast show he isn't insecure.
King Tendulkar Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 The dropping of shami was utter disgrace. A guy has been superb all year, gaining valubale experience for such a semi. Is dropped for an inexperienced CSK guy based on one ok game in dead rubber
G_B_ Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 The dropping of shami was utter disgrace. A guy has been superb all year' date=' gaining valubale experience for such a semi. Is dropped for an inexperienced CSK guy based on one ok game in dead rubber[/quote'] come on KT Shami has a terrible T20 record.Just have a look for yourself. Not the best IPL record and not the best international t20 record in the games he has played
JourneyMan Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 We're Indian, we don't know what stepping down on a high is.
Soorma_Bhopali Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 KEEP THE FAITH . SA WAS A QUALITY SIDE AND I ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT GOOD BATSMEN MAKE BOWLERS BOWL TO THEIR STRENTGH . MISHRAJI HAS SAME FIGURES AS DALE STEYN ... I AM SU:haha:RE NO ONE HERE WOULD SUGEST THAT STEYN CHOKED I would play the same team in the final with just one change - Shami in place of Mohit Sharma.
G_B_ Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Thought he bowled after over 9 he did no doubt. However IMO should have attacked with Mishra from over 6. Right after Ash got amla. New batsman at the crease... by the time Mishra bowled i think both Faf and JP had settled down.
maniac Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 He should have been used to choke S.A when they lost Amla, instead we had Raina bowling.......He did have an off day though
Midfielder Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 We're Indian' date=' we don't know what stepping down on a high is.[/quote'] so true.
G_B_ Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 yeah from his high standards in the WC Mishra did have an off day. But I feel MSD needs to attack more and go for wickets. holding back Mishra and Ash is not the way forward.
