vayuu1 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 He got to debut at Perth. Nothing short of disgrace to fast bowling in cricket.. More disgrace was that Warner charged him and smashed him for a six at waca Perth ,I have never seen anybody charged a fast bowler being charged and smashed for a six at Perth .
Crookbond Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 More disgrace was that Warner charged him and smashed him for a six at waca Perth ' date='[b']I have never seen anybody charged a fast bowler being charged and smashed for a six at Perth . Because that simply did not happen. Warner hit 5x6's - 2x Kumar, 2x Ishant and 1xZaheer - none of them were hit charged at the bowler. N7j1J7wOuWw
bulbul Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Great intent shown by Captain Vinay to make a sporting declaration..need more and more such captains to improve our domestic game :hatsoff:
srij Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 pathetic bowler .hope he and ishant never pick .
jf1gp_1 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Cry me a river. That 434 chase ended Mick Lewis' career. The poor guy then retired due to injury and had to get another job. (though that was a nice middle class job). Ie it virtually ended his earning potential via cricket. Vinay kumar was earning $700,000 per season in the IPL. His net worth must be more than most people on this forum. There is a good chance somebody will snap him up for $200-$300k in the next auction. The fact of the matter is that you dont need to be in the Indian team now a days to make a good earning via cricket. You probably need to be in the top 150 cricketers in India and you will end up earning about $100,000 plus. Which goes a long long way. It does not seem to be affecting Vinay either. The reason being (A) India won the game (B) He is going well for Karnataka with bat and ball based on the latest ranji game. If you start comparing then i doubt anyone on this forum can even bowl half as well as he does or for that matter even bat like him.
jf1gp_1 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 pathetic bowler .hope he and ishant never pick . So whats your Ranji record ? i am assuming better than his current stats.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Did he spare a thought for us before playing for the Indian team?
Old guy Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 If you start comparing then i doubt anyone on this forum can even bowl half as well as he does or for that matter even bat like him. his point was he gets what he deserves so no need to cry for him
Old guy Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 So whats your Ranji record ? i am assuming better than his current stats. brilliant logic..did he say include me in place of him ?
srij Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 So whats your Ranji record ? i am assuming better than his current stats. as an indian cricket fan it is my view. surely there are better bowlers than kumar in india ,and if u r relative or fan of kumar ask those who have use far worse adjective for kumar.they can answer your question
MCcricket Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 The fault is with that idio# Sreekant, VK should not have been picked up in the first place and what a waste, he is not even India C or county level, we would have invested in another good bowler and have one more option by now n probably won a few games more
coffee_rules Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Why do you want to feel sad for him? He has made his autorickshaw driver dad very proud by playing for India and has earned a lot of money from a very humble beginning. Just like Wasim Jaffer whose dad was a BEST bus driver.
Temujin Khaghan Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 vinay kumar earns well in the ipl. so its not like his career is finished. we cannot keep losing games just to make him happy.
Temujin Khaghan Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 normally around the world, people with vinay kumar's pace even bat well. like bravo, watson etc... military medium pacers are also normally handy batsmen only in india we find expert medium pace bowlers who suck at batting and fielding too i bet we wouldnt have been so hard on vinay if he could bat atleast like jadeja, irfan pathan or robin singh... or even half as good as ashwin i get pissed off when i see players who think they make careers out of trundling without any seam or swing movement like a budding mcgrath or asif or any batting/fielding skills (bhuvi is fine... though he trundles, he got swing and wicket taking ability) we have an army of such candidates vinay praveen - bad attitude towards training and discipline abhimanyu mithun munaf patel

Cricketics Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Playing for India isn't a small deal. You come out among thousands of people, engrossed between politics and bribery, and then with some limitations, if you are still able to impress few people with your decent performances, then kudos to you. It's not easy to become a cricketer in India. Yes, people criticize these guys because they want better results, but deep down, I am sure all of them know that these players have achieved something really big, by representing India. That respect has been earned and accepted and credited. The emotional tag though shouldn't continue as country comes first and who ever is doing good which will benefit the country, shall be selected.
maniac Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 The thing about Vinay is,as much hated he is as a cricketer by the fans,He seems like a nice guy and very well liked by his team mates who want him to do well....Very hardworking guy and it is not fair to criticise him for not trying,he just doesnt have enough to be a success at this level.
The Realist Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Nobody is criticising Koomar as a person, he may well be the nicest guy in the world, BUT at an international level he is simply not good enough - does not have the skills to succeed.
adi B Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 ^that is the point,he single handedly lost me a lot of bucks!! :((
