gakgupta Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Realistic options for taking the open spot in indian Test team opened by sachin is either Rahane or Rayudu. I would personally go for Rayudu as his A record outside sub-continent is way better than Rahane. Also, most likely, kohli will be moved to number 4 in batting position and rohit will move to 5....which leaves no 6 open. For 6th spot rayudu is better option and rahane. Ideally, Sehwag should claim this spot but he is not showing any signs of form and his chances are very bleak as the problem is with his vision not the loss of form
Temujin Khaghan Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 horses for courses rayudu is a very gritty batsmen for middle/lower-middle order. rahane is a top order batsmen... possible replacement for murali vijay in test cricket? maybe... so rahane is what we need now
Pagalpanti Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Rahane easily. Sorry but I don't see what people see in Rayudu, he's gritty yea but not test material.
Temujin Khaghan Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 we shouldn't underestimate rayudu based on his ipl exploits (or the lack of) he is supposed to be pretty good actually. --- but rahane for now.
maniac Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Rayudu, the guy has worked his way against all odds, after all the politics and icl fiasco,he is definetely special
vvvslaxman Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Rayudu' date='the guy has worked his way against all odds, after all the politics and icl fiasco,he is definetely special[/quote'] Because ....... :cantstop: complete it
cowboysfan Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 You better put Rahane on suicide watch if he doesnt debut in SA.
ShebbySB Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 You better put Rahane on suicide watch if he doesnt debut in SA. Already debuted against Australia.
adi B Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Rahane easily. Sorry but I don't see what people see in Rayudu' date=' he's gritty yea but not test material.[/quote'] +1
GoldenSun Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Rahane for Tests and Rayudu for ODIs In my opinion.
Austin 3:!6 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I have a dream to see Dhawan and Sehwag opening for India
Zanjeer Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Neither. I would like to see Rohit at no.4 . Rahane isn't international class as far as I am concerned.. He is a mental midget in international matches.
Lord Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Rahane should never have been dropped in WI series he should get his spot back in SA
