CBI Director Ranjit Sinha at the Vatican

Ranjit Sinha, Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CB) has been rather economical with details about his visit to Rome. While he told India he was in the city to attend a meeting called by the London Metropolitan Police, the reality is elsewhere. It is an old issue, she has been holding a government bungalow from 1996..This issue comes up sometimes, but no party is serious to vacate her. Of course parties are more worried about AK occupying 4 bedroom flat or 5 bedroom flat.
so why dont kejriwal/AAP raise this issue?

people wanted a stable hand from Kaejiwal. He did not provide that. Raje also did not make impossible to keep promises like Kejri

Raje's election campaign promise point was to probe the Vadra case the first thing she comes to power. Here's my assessment - BJP will stay clear of Vadra as long as Congress will stay clear of Jashodaben' date= Modi involvement in Snoopgate etc. It's a simple quid pro quo - don't try dirt on me game going on.
can you provide a source for that? Not saying it was not said. Makes no sense. Better to provide a holistic picture and have Haryana deals probed along with Rajasthan. I for one do hope the BJP wait for Harayana state assembly elections and then open a Pandora box on Vadra. If modi can come through SIT unscathed. He can easily come through minor issues. Its a big gamble worth taking.

Illegal betting racket gives Modi an 'unassailable' lead over Rahul and predicts at least 200 Lok Sabha seats for BJP Three weeks to go and it's been a long election already, with analysts and opinions and forecasts poured relentlessly into the mix. For those willing to put their money where their mouth is, the illegal betting racket - or satta bazaar - that thrives across the nation is the real ground report. And the satta bazaar sees saffron shining now, with the Capital's punters giving the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at least 200 seats in the Lok Sabha, and the party's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi an unassailable lead over his main Congress rival. If the calculations of these punters are to be believed, the BJP has stormed way ahead of the Congress, and it is very likely that the saffron party will manage to form a government with the help of alliances. In a system where high "rates" mean long odds and spell disaster and low "rates" mean short odds and indicate triumph (see accompanying box on how the racket works), Modi leads the pack with quotes from as low as 18 paise in Mumbai to a surprising 30 paise in Gujarat. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is many times more a riskier bet, with rates varying from a horrendous Rs 12 in Mumbai to a somewhat respectable 40 paise in West Bengal. With poll results looming in the near future, the illegal betting market is thriving in areas around the national Capital. Mail Today visited Hapur in western Uttar Pradesh, about 60km from Delhi and one of the main bases for illegal betting. Hapur is also home to a futures trading centre that is considered one of the largest in this region. Sources revealed many businessmen in Hapur have placed illegal bets worth lakhs of rupees. With the help of local connections, a Mail Today team talked with several punters who gave a clear idea of the betting operations. Mail Today also talked to a few persons in Delhi who are part of an extensive betting network that spans the country. Evident The satta market's poll predictions are most evident through the odds offered. "It is almost clear that Modi is the uniform choice for the prime minister's post and our bosses are confident of the BJP coming to power at the Centre. There may be some hurdles and the party may need to do some manipulation at the last moment," said one punter. Giving details of the odds, he said: "If you bet one rupee on the BJP winning 200 seats, you'll get a return of 10 paise. Nobody wants to place bets on the Congress getting more than 110 seats." The rates suggest that bookies believe the BJP will easily get 200 seats. The odds for Modi wearing the crown in Delhi are 20 paise. This means if he becomes the prime minister, a person betting Rs 1 lakh will get a return of Rs 1.20 lakh. But the stakes are much higher for Rahul Gandhi. In his case, the odds are Rs 10, which means one can get ten times the bet amount. People also bet money on the number of seats the BJP or Congress is likely to win. While the betting world seems to be sure of the BJP getting 200 seats in the Lok Sabha on its own, punters said the Congress may barely reach 120 to 125 seats. "Earlier, we were told that the Congress will not get more than 100 seats, but since Priyanka Gandhi has come out aggressively in the campaigning, they say that it may get a few more seats," said a bookie in Delhi. According to the betting market in Delhi, the odds on the BJP winning 200 seats are 10 paise. For 210 seats, it is 15 paise and for 220 seats, it is 25 paise. The odds go up to 80 paise for 230 seats and 90 paise for 240 seats for the BJP. Another Hapur punter said: "There are many like us operating under four to five bigger players. We have become alert as police had arrested four persons last year. Many of us shifted base to nearby cities like Delhi, Meerut and Agra. But businessmen here are still putting a lot of money in satta through the old players." The strategy Another punter said the networks of the big players extend to large cities like Mumbai, Surat and Jaipur. "People know each other in this business. Small-time players always operate under their bosses, who know each other. Even if they shift their base, they are always in touch with each other through the internet or mobile phones. To avoid police, we keep changing our phone numbers very often," he said. The odds for the Congress winning 60 seats are 30 paise and 60 paise for 80 seats. dont know how accurate this is. Daily mail in the UK does not have a great reputation. Plus some of the mumbai statewise breakdown does not make any sense. I cant see BJP getting 4 seats in Kerela or 12 seats in WB. I stick by my original prediction of BJP getting 190-210. With 210 being the max figure.

I've been to Gujarat on many occasions. I have business interests there. And irrespective of what 'they' say' date=' it is a rich state. Mumbai is ofcourse leeching the economy of nearly 6 states, which is the reason for such a bloated GDP, so you can contribute ur part."They" means the press and politician talks as if Gujarat is a progressive and developed state. Yes the state grown not the financial status of most people. We have been doing business there for many years. The primary reason is the vast availability of cheap skilled labour. Almost every business is controlled by middlemen, who are relatives of politicians. Every small industry has to depend on them, which leads to minimal income. The labours are "kept" cheap, to make sure there is no shortage. Even if there is shortage, there is no shortage of skilled labour migrating from Rajastan, MP and unskilled labour from maharastra, UP, bihar. Most sad part is, the unskilled labours from Maharastra aren't labours, they are former farmers. From what I have seen, Gujarat saw a huge growth on industrial and export sector, but the ones who directly benefited are middlemen or brokers, local political leaders and huge corporates. Not the common people. And of course, many people like us who make no investment there, just buy printed fabric and embroidered material for cheap cost on regular basis, turn them into products here, stitch a brand tag onto it, supply them to malls who sell it for whopping 200% margin. Same applies to other business but with a different margins. Most gujju small scale and mid scale business struggle to earn due to this stronghold of middlemen with political influence. Many ppl I met have this routine, sell the land they own > build a house > invest for their children's education and send them abroad > get a car to show off > put the remaining money into bank and get interest. Imo, the Gujarat Model would work for states that have vast economic inequality like cowbelt, maharastra or karnataka. Not for states like Kerela, TN or Seemandra, where skilled labours are demanding an advance of 1 lakh just to work.
