Cricketics
Rahane is good. He can actually be no. 3 or no. 4 too if for some reason Pujara or Virat are not available. He is that good. Rahane should be a permanent fixture of our team now. Link to comment
Old guy
Rahane is good. He can actually be no. 3 or no. 4 too if for some reason Pujara or Virat are not available. He is that good. Rahane should be a permanent fixture of our team now. Nah he has his own problems.. But his good basics will always cover him well This guy can lose form out of no where and struggle for no reason but he always impressed me by how organised he is while playing and shots look classy which is a plus :p Link to comment
Clarke
You have no idea how many fans this guy has I get trolled everyday for saying that he struggles against swing and before this series people thought he will out do even pujara.. He hits some sixes straight and people call it great technique and what not even now people wanted rahane to be dropped if we needed t bowlers cos he scored 2 hundreds at home against windies which was not even playing their best bowlers One thing you need to understand about the masses: maverick genius will always be given precedence over bloodless brilliance. On our domestic pattas, Nohit is the former and Pujara the latter. On the testing tracks of SA, we know the story. Link to comment

Struggled and yet people said he has no problem and were after Kohli I fact who actually did well last time in Odis . This is what I don't understand ..wait for a month let him score some runs and you will be back to same position and excuses will be made about this tour .. Link to comment
rkt.india
Yadav over seas is no brained really ..he has skill to move ball at pace totally different from any one else Last guy should be either pandey or ,maybe we give bhuvanrer run in new Zealand and england where condition might suit him Pankaj Singh is essential in place of Ishant. Shami, Umesh, BK, Pandey, Aaron, Pankaj Link to comment
NareshK
Dhawan has to learn to be lot more patient if he has to score runs in tests outside SC. Its this attitude of playing too many shots which led to his downfall when he first started playing. He has been scoring well of late but these have been instances where runs were coming freely for him. But once again, when runs are hard to come by, he doesnt seem to knuckle down and stay at the wicket and accumulate runs. This is a quality which is needed against a top bowling side in conditions which are even slightly in favor for them. The jury is still out on Rohit overseas. He played a bad shot in first innings of first test and got a ball which kept very low, which he couldnt do much about in second innings. Left a straight ball in 1st innings of 2nd test. Remains to be seen how he does in 2nd innings. Other batsmen have done well. Link to comment
Old guy
Pankaj Singh is essential in place of Ishant. Shami, Umesh, BK, Pandey, Aaron, Pankaj Agree but he is not even in a team so I was going with realistic choice On performance and skill this guy should be first guy in team :winky: Link to comment
asterix
Pankaj Singh is essential in place of Ishant. Shami, Umesh, BK, Pandey, Aaron, Pankaj Ishant is Dhoni's favorite bowler... He brought him back by hook or crook, just like a govt. Brings back a tainted minister in the cabinet after he's dropped from the cabinet... Link to comment
flamy
Pankaj Singh is essential in place of Ishant. Shami, Umesh, BK, Pandey, Aaron, Pankaj What's Pankaj's avg pace? Also, is he more of a hit the deck, seam and bounce kinda bowler? It's a good variation to our attack. Link to comment

satishg
Rohit doesnt move his feet that much and that has been his downfall in this innings. If you can see Rahane's footwork it has been exemplary and that helps him counter the reverse swing, whereas Rohit has a very tentative push forward and when the ball seams in as it did today he will get caught in the crease and get out LBW. He really needs to work on some technical issues if he wants to succeed abroad. Needs to be judicious about leaving balls outside off and be more precise with his footwork. He is a very good player of the short ball though. Link to comment
