I wonder why would Ishant want to bowl 150+ , which he did in Aus without any wickets, when he's taken so many wickets bowling with a botched up seam and speeds of 131-132. 15 wickets in the series for him now, can't really question those returns. Well done Lambu. Now hopefully before the IPL being away from national squad he can work on his technical issues and improve further. Can't have another false dawn like he had during the WI series for him to go completely downhill

He should not try bowling 150 k+ because that speed is not natural to him. He loses other requisite bowling attributes when he tries that. But, we have seen him bowl with control at 135 to 145 k. That comes naturally to him. He should try that coupled with the accuracy he is getting now. His current 132 k pace maybe ok against the weaker NZ batsmen in helpful conditions but, if he wants to be an all condition bowler, then atleast 135 to 140 k is required. Ishant does not have the intelligence to succeed at 130 k, when the conditions are not very helpful.
