I hope they are all green. Would love our team to have a crack at it. I want to relive those games of 2002, with a much better and a sweet memory. Hopefully it will be toughest of tracks. Want our team to be challenged.

They are the home team as long as they are reasonable cricketing pitches it is fine. Indian team needs to shed this tag of HTBs and perform everywhere and not crap in pants at first sight of greenness.

This tour is going to be much tougher than SA tour. Because these guys swing both in the air and off the pitch. Even though they bowl only at 130 ks they will be more potent than 145 k steyn in their own conditions. Remember Darrell Tuffey. India has to counter with swing and seam bowling. Raw pace is another option as NZ generally fails against raw pace.

I think it will be blessing in disguise, the Indian bowling will be more potent on these pitches and NZ batting isn't that great. If the pitches are going to swing a lot, the NZ batting is going to collapse as well. Their batting is more suspect than ours.

Kiwis went to the extent of changing pitch conditions during an on-going test match in 2002. They watered the pitch between days because India was going to bat next. Asking for specific type of pitch before game starts is OK, interfering with the pitch during the game is shameless.

There is no chance of Guptil featuring in the Test side any time soon, Latham is the next cab up as far as openers are concerned. He recently scored a double and the selectors have had an eye on him for a while now. I don't think we'll make any changes, but I would love to see Ryder come in for Rutherford and have Watling open. My Ideal XI Watling Fulton Williamson Taylor McCullum Ryder Anderson Vettori/Ish Southee Wagner/Henry Boult I can realistically see Boult troubling a few of the Indians with his inswingers.
