he is a late bloomer just like naman ojha ....... but if selectors are going to pick him....he has to be given long run and age is not on his side...... rayudu earned his place with consistent performance in domestic and IPL and now ppl cant even stand his presence ..... Kedhar is no tendulkar and he is sure to play some bad innings and ppl will start cursing him as well.....

I never wanted him in the side. His domestic performance way below par compared to lot of others.

Jadhav was a bit hit in India A tour. Consistently a good finisher both in A tours and IPL. Good six hitter. HIs strike rate was around 119 with 8 sixes. Also his domestic stats are good. Good pressure player. Since Yuvi has left we don't have decent six hitters down the order apart from Dhoni' date=' Raina. Would have been handy ahead of Rayudu, Vijay etc.[/quote'] Jadhav isn't a 6 hitter, more boundary hitter.

Look we should have 6(yes Vijay is still honorary member) csk players in team today. Things going well!!
Vijay is not a CSK player anymore... doesn;t count

Will put what I said in the other thread Too soon to write him off. He has done in difficult conditions before. Played a role in ind a winning the list a series against some quality bowlers 78(75) in finals 87(53) in another match plus one more 50

Too early to make a determination. He looks like a player that is more adept at playing cheeky shots. I wonder if he has the power to hit the big shots, especially on bigger grounds.

Nowhere near Int quality. Already 30 yrs old, but what worried me was his attitude. Wanted to corner all glory and utterly failed to give strike to Kohli. Can't play Mendis who was taken to cleaners by those who can bat. And we were seeing posters exhorting Kohli to get out so that this chap can bat. Jesus, both him and Binny shouldn't be anywhere near the XI>

Anyone who plays Mendis for first time will struggle against him. It is not like he has played Mendis a lot.

Kedar Jadhav was spposed to be a savior from Rohit Sharma,Raina,Rayudu etc etc :cantstop: ANyways having said that the guy deserves a shot for being a consistent performer at domestics otherwise Indian FC will be pointless. I said the same about Pankaj Singh that he was not good enough at the international level and people were on my case for that, but I always said he deserved for what he did at the internationals but the quality is there for all to see. Likes of Rohit,Raina,Ishant,Kohli have all been blooded into internationals at a very early age and that's why their domestic records are not so great...they have done well and shown that they are world class talent...we need to groom our investments rather than thinking there is a savior somewhere else. I am all for u-19 or young players who have made an impact in their first season get a shot or the consistent domestic performers get a chance, but we seem to overhype some of them.

its just 1 match,Rohit Rayudu etc werent great in their initial games either. Also Jadhav did well in Aus A tour too so not just domestics

Dhawan got a 248 in South Africa A tour,Unadkat had some great A tours in the past....As I said A tours are not a great benchmark because the pitches are never like what they would be in an international scenario. Here is how players should be blooded into team. U-19 Identify special talents and groom them, give them exposure. Track their first 2 seasons progress in domestics...For international LOI's track them at IPL level too(nothing wrong) Let them play in A tours. Then give them a shot. As I said Jadhav earned his shot but he didn't earn the mantle of being the next big thing in Indian cricket like some of them were hyping him to be.

I agree with that. All I am saying that its too early to write him off. As for earning his chance,he did that a while ago and there is no reason Rayudu should have debuted ahead of him, thats what people talk about.Great List A record, topped Ranji season,Some good innings in IPL,and then Aus A tour. you cant ask for more
