Well done. Always maintained that he is a far better bowler and batsman than Jadeja. Unlike Jadejas streaky edges going for boundaries, Ashwin played like a true batsman. Jadeja was dropped twice, and third time was lucky as umpire didn't give him out Time to find a genuine all rounder who can do the Yuvi, Anderson, maxwell for us.

I didn't see any streaky ones. he played pull,flick and one in the slog over long on.

Marut Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Fantastic effort. Would like to see Ashwin bat up the order, even ahead of Dhoni and perhaps Raina also. Not a bat idea to try him as an opener - he can't do worse than Rohit, Dhawan, Gauti, Sehwag as he seems to have a sound technique and plays like a proper batsman.
