Suggest replacement middle-order bat for Rohit Sharma

He has issues with his technique which was quite evident in SA as well. Every other batsman in our batting order gives me a confidence that they will score runs except Rohit. Anyway it is still early days for him in test cricket so i hope for India's sake he gets better and i dont really see MSD dropping him anytime soon.

I would give him time till first-second test in England maybe? After that we need to look to Rayudu/Jadhav/maybe Badrinath. What about Rasool? Is he good enough only as a batsman? Averaged 51 in Ranji this season with a weak side. We can also play 4 fast bowlers with him in the team.

dinesh karthik immediately. gives us a solid option, who can keep wickets and is a great fielder. has done well overseas. seeing DK and rahane at 5/6 would be awesome, have a feeling they could form some great partnerships. DK plays short ball, spin, etc Dhawan, Vijay, Pujara, Kohli, DK, Rahane with Saha/Rayudu at 7. Dhoni imo needs to go from test arena. That's an awesome batting lineup.

I think first they should try swapping his place with Rahane. May or may not work. But considering how Rahane might often end up with tailenders he deserves better partners at the other end for substantial period of time.

He's not a bad bet either. I always rated Dinesh Karthik quite high but his shot selection and brain f@rts let him down. He would look so good and then throw it away but I'm sure he's better than Rohit at the moment and maybe he can be given a run in both Tests and odis.

Thats why i think he should play tests because he can take his time and build an innings, he did decently in the 2013 games he got though had several brain farts. I believe he's a better player either opening for tests or lower-mid order bat. He should be in the test squad

You need certainty, hence a middle order of kohli, DK, rahane, saha/rayudu/alternative solid bat would be fantastic. All great fielders (not sure if saha is), DK and Saha can keep wickets, and there is confidence in such a lineup. Selectors should do this!! That's not taking into account a top 3 of dhawan, vijay and pujara :omg:

This fellow is going to either destroy Indian cricket or keep us from truly becoming a top-ranked team. He has dug his claws in to the team and I see no way that he is going to be dropped unfortunately. :(( Best is to slot him at 6.
