Compared to Karnataka and Maharashtra, Punjab havent produced much talent. In fact, you expect Punjab to produce at least a few good fast bowlers but we only got trundlers like Harvinder Singh or Ritender Singh Sodhi who couldnt even stay in the team long.

Yuvraj is one of the biggest crickets we produced in last generation even if he is crap in test does not change that And harbhajan was a great for us easily even though I hate him and I can see my old posts. And about comparison with Karnataka these places have historically produced more cricketers same with Mumbai and Delhi while only now we are seeing more cricketers from other areas so it wil take time

Yeah that's what Im saying, never been able to get any long-term chance because of that despite been a backup option for almost whole of 90s decade... was just able to get one or two appearances each in 94 then 97, 98 and 2000, that too mostly when Akram was taking rest... Impressive First-Class bowling stats though... Finished his FC career in 2005...

No idea about the Dari speaking north It has grown in popularity among the Tajiks/persians even though the entire team is full OF Pashtuns. There were huge celebrations all over Afghanistan including the Tajik , Hazara and Uzbek dominated regions when their team qualified for the 2015 WC.

Then after being taught the same basics of fast bowling , which group of 10 is going to be better at bowling at faster raw speeds ?
