JourneyMan Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I'm in favour of Rahane for Dhawan, something is better than nothing and unfortunately Dhawan has shown nothing this tournament. Between Shami and Sharma, I think either can be selected. It's 50-50, I don't see any obvious front-runner.

I mean from over 1 we were in control. The big question is Rahane for Dhawan? I say yes. He played a stupid shot to get out but looked in better touch than Dhawan. Probably a better fielders. The other big question. Mohit for Shami? I have to be honest I dont rate Mohit, but his wicket to wicket accuracy means for these conditions he will be handier than shami IMO. On the whole I will retain the same team. We shouldnt get too ahead.. the team that thrashed england in the last world t20 got battered vs aus. But.. the 3 spinners look good even though jadeja is costly atm. Still gets a wicket or two + fielding + batting. Seamers - mohit bowled really well, bowled watson with a beauty and pace was up. Some at 138kph. This is his format and he should play. Dont think shami is suited for t20s. Batting - rahane and rohit open but need rohit to fire. Play your in form players. Rahane still made some runs, rotated strike and we got a decent start that was dampened by the mid order. So for the semis.. yeah id play this same team.

Like bowling early overs. Overseas: batsmen milk him for singles, get set, they clobber him. Hardly any spin

Also Rahane over Dhawan. Dhawan's form has slipped into his fielding, misfields and drop is something we can ill-afford in a SF contest.
