Lord Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Strokeless wonder? Kuch bhi!? Would want Dhawan to open, Rahane's a good T20 player, but will like to have a left hand opening against Steyn. Steyn doesnt open everytime.they might open with Parnell if Dhawan opens. Anyway,Rahane is good enough to handle Steyn,I'd go with him

CoverDrive Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 if remember steyn has owned dhawan and rahane has played him well
BlueBee Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 if remember steyn has owned dhawan and rahane has played him well This is SC :nice: Can't even beat our batters
SLICKR392 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 This is SC :nice: Can't even beat our batters During IPL, both Rahane and Rohit were looking wayward against Steyn. Conditions doesn't matter for Steyn.
Lord Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 During IPL' date=' both Dhawan and Rohit were looking wayward against Steyn. Conditions doesn't matter for Steyn.[/quote'] Dhawan looked wayward against Steyn in IPL?
BlueBee Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 During IPL' date=' both Dhawan and Rohit were looking wayward against Steyn. Conditions doesn't matter for Steyn.[/quote'] :hmmm:
SLICKR392 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Dhawan looked wayward against Steyn in IPL? Sorry..Rahane. Lol Here's tailunt's struggle. xVYHel8tMW8 At least Rahane did well against him in SA.
Gollum Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Main issue will be how Nohit faces Steyn. Must be scarred after that RSA tour.
BlueBee Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Main issue will be how Nohit faces Steyn. Must be scarred after that RSA tour. Rohit : Come to India Steyn : ???? Day after tomorrow will decide :winky:
Yoda-esque Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Rahane for sure, will take a solid 25-30 runs in 20-25 balls and he rotates the strike
maniac Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Blessed to have Rohit at the other end no matter who the opener is,can play the sheet anchor to Dhawan's attacking style or provide flair and excitement to Rahane's mundane approach :hatsoff:
Zestian Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 IMO - Rahane handles pace much better then dhawan, I still remember his debut in England and his performances in IPL... He is far more better player then Dhawan in any conditions... And what can u say about his fielding, he is just impeccable at that point position... I would love to see him bat in place of Dhawan... Dhawan always needs that width to free his arms and also cant play pull/hook nicely...
Straight Drive Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 There is not much difference between Shikhar and Ajinkya. Whoever is in form should be selected. At the moment Ajinkya should be preferred until he loses form with the bat.
coffee_rules Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Binny should replace Jaddu or seamer not named Bhuvaneshwar. :vroam:
NareshK Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Binny should replace Jaddu or seamer not named Bhuvaneshwar. :vroam: Are you kidding ? Saffers will murder his dibbly dobbly bowling without any swing.
Ram Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Yuvraj gets an extended run and multiple opportunities to find his feet while Shikhar is not accorded the same luxury? Granted, Yuvraj is a far more seasoned campaigner with a much larger body of work and therefore, deserves a longer rope, but we cant have dramatically different standards for different players. Knowing how MSD operates, my bet is on Shikhar coming back into the team for the semis. After all, it was not long ago that he was our 2nd best batsmen in the NZ tour. Another factor working in his favor is the success of his opening partnership with Rohit.
coffee_rules Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Are you kidding ? Saffers will murder his dibbly dobbly bowling without any swing. Knowing Dhoni, he will not bowl him anyway. Binny is in only for appealing from the boundary line.
