CSK Fan
Before the match started - Captain pathetic' date=' team not s good, another 5-0 whitewash[/quote'] If this pitch was anything like an English one, we could have easily lost it. There is a reason every Englishman and his dog was complaining about the pitch Considering the pitch, we should have scored 600. It was the only way to win. Pujara, Kohli, our main bat threw it away or else it was not very hard. Link to comment

CSK Fan
sachin fans taling abt dhoni fans :hehe: when 10th wicket scores 198 , no intent will help .. only time when some indian captain showed some intent was when dravid declared when sachin was at 194* and for the next few days ganges water level was increased by a meter :hehe: Master of topic changes when you have no answer. And this hypocrite who used to criticize Sachin fans is the biggest blind fan of a player now. 24 by 7 on this site defending Dhoni, cannot take one single criticism, never accepts Dhoni can be wrong ever Yes, when you spread field and allow singles, nothing will help Link to comment
JourneyMan
Velu, the point is that you put the opposition under pressure. Even if they would have lost 3-4 wickets, their media would have ripped into their batting performances. The way things ended, Dhoni is being ripped into for not declaring, and Cook has a test wicket to his name. It really was quite pathetic. England aren't exactly known for their mental strength and for handling pressure, especially at this moment in time when they are at their most vulnerable. This was a good opportunity to put some pressure on them. Was it likely to take 10 wickets in 30-odd overs with our attack? No, but if a batting collapse is triggered anything can happen. You have too much leeway here, don't abuse it A serious well thought out post is always better than trolling one liners which bring the level of the forum down and turns it into a chat site. When serious posters troll once in a while, it is fun. When every post someone makes is only to troll and instigate it is because he is incapable of anything better Link to comment

Sachinism
England to bring in Kerrigan for 2nd Test England include Kerrigan in the squad for the 2nd test. - No issues there. But Kerrigan is currently playing a 4 day game for Lancashire, which ends on Wednesday. With the Test match starting on Thursday, if England wanted to play Kerrigan they would have to pull him out of the Lancashire team. I'd say you do what you have to do, at the end of the game its the counties job to provide players for England. But it does make a bit of a mockery of the first class game. Now when India played 18 players in a warm up game, every person in the English press went after Dhoni and ridiculed India for making a mockery of the game. I wonder what they'll make of England here Link to comment
Sachinism
I'm with Chappell on this one. Dhoni shouldn't have appealed if he knew prior hadn't edged it. But I am ready to give the benefit of the doubt to Dhoni . Exactly, nor we or Chappell is in a position to know if Dhoni genuinely thought there was an edge Link to comment
maniac
Wonder how much sportsmanship chappel showed when he played for Australia ? If Aussies do it,it's win at any cost attitude and dhoni who is usually ridiculed for his meekness makes a mistake it's a big deal....time to put chappel in a retirement home Link to comment
NareshK
Chappell is an idiot for saying this. No more to add. Link to comment
Gollum
Murali Vijay proved in the home series against Aus and in the tour of RSA that he is a much improved batsman. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Discipline he showed batting out 90 overs all day..on day one is commendable only 4 times it has been done by Indians outside subcontinent. This is the second time by M Vijay. Yes he is an improved player. Most important thing is even if he gets occasionally beaten he doesn't act like hot tin on a roof. REmember how JOnathan Trott played against JOhnson lol. He visibly expressed his unpleasantness at the crease. He didn't show anythign like that. Link to comment

ThePhenomenal1
he loses his wicket when he rushes himself. when he wants to concentrate, seems unbeatable. rock solid, has great temperament. best of luck to him. hope him and dhawan form great partnerships over this series. its crucial Link to comment
Vilander
He is a good player, batted like a champ first day, remember he did not know that the pitch was national highway, he just batted with minimum risks..might be able to replicate that in more difficult pitches, Bhuv kumar batted brilliantly too both the innings..
