If you have watched any cricket in the past couple of years you must have realized that we dont stand a chance in WC 2015. Captain corrupt,Rhiti/India Cements/CSK quota, non selection of Yadav , Aaron,Pujara etc has spelt doom for us.

I know the flavor is IPL, and not about India vs Intl - BUT... I dont care if CSK loses all their matches, hardly matters. BUT - Miller and Maxwell <*****> Ashwin, Jaddu and other bowlers. What are we going to do in WC2015??? I know there is whole lot of Tamasha and IPL circus on now. But the way Miller and Maxwell treat Indian bowlers, very worrying.
Said the same in other thread. Our bowler didn't know what to do against maxwell and it wasn't even a ground with ropes pulled in.

I am tired of this.. No one in world knows what to do with maxwell right now He has den similar thing to international teams

He even hammered Ajmal on those BD wickets. Actually we contained him and he ended up playing that shot against Ashwin.

Said it before Jaddu, Dhawan and Rohit (as an opener) will be a big liability for us in World cup. Jadeja should be dropped from the side immediately as he has become worthless and will be more so in Australian conditions. Rohit and Dhawan are the worst Indian opener I have seen from the time I am following cricket. 99% of the time we will lose the game chasing if we have these 2 openers. An openers job in ODI's is to give a team a brisk start and if he survives till 10th over go for a big score. Dhawan and Rohit neither can accelerate at top (like Viru) nor can build an innings (say like Sachin or Ganguly). Agree, Gambo and Viru should not be brought back based on current form but that doesn't guarantee the selection for Dhawan and Rohit. We need to find new openers if we want to succeed. I would be tempted to see how Pujara & Uthappa goes as an opener, drop Rohit to no.4 and kick out Dhawan. As poor our bowling is, trust me it will be our batting that will be the reason for our defeat in World cup .

A bowler. We can play Ashwin as an all rounder but we must play 5 bowlers. At present form Raina is bowling better than Jadeja :agree:
WC isnt at present though.Jaddu did okay in last ODI tourney Asia Cup IIRC Mishra can be an option imo but will weaken our batting

At present Mishra is certainty in the team. He will be in my team during England ODI series as he deserves it based on recent performances. For world cup it depends if he maintains the form. If he does, definitely. Mind you Australian tracks will assist bounce and historically leg spinners are more successful there than an offie. If he can't maintain his form, then a seamer must replace him.

We have to get in a spinner though.dont think 5 quicks is good idea specially against teams like Eng,Aus we need a spinner

Yet again those two butchered! WC2015 - whats gonna happen? Good to see even in mayhem - Pravin Tambe - 4.0.26.0 22622.jpg
