Except Australia has paucity of spinners. In India we have so many. Leg spinners alone we have so many. Chahal Chawla Mishra K Sharma R Sharma Ladla Tambe In addition to that we have lot of finger spinners. Unless Tambe can turn the ball square with lot of side spin like warnie it is a futile exercise. In a matter of 2 matches batsmen will figure him out and smash him to all parts of ground you will be left scratching your head.

Tambe is proving his mettle time and again against some seriously good international batters. You don't disregard a bowler when he picks up guys like Kallis, KP, etc. I totally agree with a few posters here. He should be considered for our t20 national squad since his fitness seems to be decent enough for a 43 yr old! If he ends up being among the top 5 wkt takers in the tamasha league then he has done brilliantly imo.

Shreyas Gopal gets good turn. However, he does not has the wrong one as good as Tambe has.
