So let us discuss about how Dhoni handles bowlers. Things like field set, number of overs given to them on trot, choosing the right end for a bowler, and controlling of bowlers where he wants to bowl etc etc.

He does not realize as a captain he should gamble on field sets. McCullum did that in NZ and in West In dies.

But no matter what he does, he doesn't have the best tools to work with. There's no getting away from that fact...

I remember INdia losing Zaheer Khan in Australia in two series. India won both those tests. It is easy to blame bowling or batting all the time getting away.

I just wanted to point out what could certainly be a contributing factor in you changing your obvious opinion in the matter...did you actually see Ishant bowl today, can you honestly come with a better reason.

rising Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I don't think Dhoni handles bowlers well , I think likes of Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble handled better so our bowling looked decent in outside our continent in that period And also his field placements are awful for test in20-20 and 50 overs his innovative field placement might work has batsmen may get lured into playing shorts to get runs , but in test its not the case you might lure him once but same bait won't be taken again so unorthodox filed done uses is not effective instead it might end up forcing bowler to bowl line which is not ideal
