Bumrah is playing an actual match after 7 weeks ... due to his injury and ensuing operation.  So, he is understandably a bit rusty.

 

Plus, him not being able to play any practice matches even, he may take 7 or 8 overs to get his line and length right for England as this is his first match in this country.

 

Pitch maps shows that he has bowled mostly on a good length ... just need to get his lines right.

This venue is aiding swing quite a bit after the ball becomes 8 to 10 overs old.

 

But there is not enough seam movement compared to the last 2 tests.

 

And India has just 1 swing bowler in Ishant ... and no outswing bowler with 4  or 5  right handers in the top 7 for the English.

He bowled mostly back of a length which he usually does. Needs to hit proper good lengths.

Ishant is a inswing bowler. That's his stock ball.

By that token everyone's a swing bowler, in these conditions, though Ishant's stock ball comes in. He's a short of a good length seam bowler.

Good to see Bumrah back & hurrying the batsmen. 

 

He seems to bowl mostly with the scrambled seam though, hence not getting consistent movement.
