Why da F are we putting up with this mediocrity??

Mr Kamboj shouldn’t be anywhere near the test side or any international side for that matter. If that’s his ceiling he should stick with domestic cricket and make peace with his limitations.

England brought back Archer to spice up their attack. While Archer doesn’t look fully match- fit and always looks disinterested like he is above the game, he has made a dent. He might look average in some spells but when he gets it right, even his 1-2 wickets changes the game and scenario because of the spice in his bowling.

on the other hand we started with 3 140+ pacers in the first test, then added Alashdeep a 135 bowler who is good for English conditions , now degenerating to 2 120 clicks trundlers

Our passion is trundlers certified by Dhoni.

When Harshit was selected everyone was critical of Gambhir.

Now after this display of highly penetrative seam bowling  from Kamboj I am convinced that he will get atleast 15 test matches inspite of the result

Love listening to Ponting talking about fast bowling.

Analytical and aggressive.

Says all the right things instead of " just pitch it up, maintain good line and length " mundane stuff by most Indian commentators.

Talking about the importance of bounce and hitting the bat high and hard. And use of bouncers to stop batters from coming on the front foot.

Shastri back in commentary and talking about good line and length.  ; )

Isn't that supposed to be an obvious necessity at international level.

Shastri .... " Kamboj is military medium at best. Questions will be asked if he does not do well, with Kuldeep and Prasidh sitting in the dressing room "

Rare honesty regarding the pace of an Indian medium-pacer.

To be honest with Rohit and Kohli gone, Indian commentary will be more neutral for a while till someone else becomes a superstar at their level. Then the sucking up will start. I would say 6 months before they find some other hero, till then let’s enjoy the honest take :)

Bumrah has not bowled with any kind of effort in this test. Bowling within himself throughout.

I have no.problem with him playing just 3 tests out of 5.  It's his body and his decision.

But the ones he chooses to play must be played with full effort.

Disappointed !

Bumrah

1st Test .... 40% balls above 140 k , Fastest of 147 k .. average speed probably above 139 k.

4th test .... Just  2% balls above 140 k,  Fastest of 141 k .. average speed 135 k

Has bowled just 1 over with the 2nd new ball at 127 k to 133 k with poor accuracy and has walked off the field.

Probably playing with injury.

Is it the calf injury he had in the last test ??
