It's easier to bowl with high intensity and more effort when you're bowling only 4 overs.

Longer the format, more the pacer will return to his natural pace where his body is most comfortable with.

 

Arshdeep bowls fast only in death overs, but he is not a naturally quick bowler. Maybe at Jaydev's pace of 130-134...average pace around 132.

 

Harsha Patel is another example who can clock 140's effort ball in T20's...otherwise he is a 130-134 kph bowler.

First ball is a short ball. Doesn't mean anything. Natural bounce is when bowler gets bounce from back of length delivery.

Arshdeep is just about ok for T20s only.

 

His good length balls are pretty innocuous and a bowler must bowl a high percentage of length balls in tests and ODIs.

I am seeing LACK of natural bounce in that over. Very innocuous stuff.

In the second innings vs Aus in WTC - thakur hardly got a long enough bowl to get wickets. BTW Shami's two wickets came at end when Aus was throwing bat around.

 

If you don't want a 4th bowler - just pick a batsman. Besides Rahane and maybe Kohli, no one else knows how to rotate the 4 pace bowlers.

 

After the Thakur 50 - he was basically overlooked for the bowling.

 

The treatment to Siraj and Thakur in T5 vs England when Bumrah was captain was worse. I mean I understand Bumrah and Shami are much better than Marshall and Holding and Siraj and Thakur are much worse than Croft and Garner but still.......

This selection committee is very very poor when it comes to selecting pacers.

Absolutely, Mukesh has a poor record even in domestic white ball cricket. There is no sense of him in T20'.

Avesh is just ....even Khaleel is a better bet that him.

Harshit, Sen should have been there with one more tall quick (Hangargekar, Tyagi or Yudhvir) in place of 3 leggies (Axar is automatic pick due to absence of Jadeja).

Indian cricket seems to be going backward, tried and tested failures are always on the selectors radar, thought Rana, Yash were in the reckoning but no, really don't see the likes of Sen, tyagi, Mohsin, prasidh ever making it big.

Mark wood is into the Shoaib Akhtar, Brett lee territory. Bowling 95 mph. Whoever worked on his run up did a great job.
