it's because dravid had a severe weakness vs pace and bounce. he was much less than tendu and VVS in this respect

Bro this makes me sad as a Indian fast bowling fan. Feel like we are back in the 80's and 90's. One quick bowler bowling with 1 or 2 trundlers. Have not watched a single ball of this test series. Totally lost interest. India A matches are more interesting than this.

If someone wanted to destroy Indian cricket, they could not have done better than Dravid and Rohit.

And that is what will happen if Bumrah does not gain  match fitness and either of Shami or Siraj has a niggle.

I have no hopes with the current mgmt, I sometimes fail to understand that despite playing so many games at the world level, how can they be so regressive and dismissive of the pace bowlers. It really frustrates me at times.

 

Sure, you want to play line length trundlers, do that. But don't just fill the team with such bowlers, you need an all condition performers in SENA countries and not the new ball experts who can only play supportive role.

 

If Bumrah, Siraj or Shami will get injured.. pakka this mgmt will bring in likes of Avesh Khan, Sandeep Sharma and Sid Kaul in the Test squad. This mgmt hates (yes, and I know this is a strong word) the fast bowlers.

Variation is an alien concept to these dehatis,it was all organic when you stars aligned to give India a golden run in test cricket from 2015 onwards,that being said Arun came into the picture Ishant,Umesh started to come to their own,then came Bumrah who brought respect to Indian fast bowling attack(people still have audacity to criticize him)

Kohli,I admire him here for his love for quick bowlers without his nod we wouldn't have made it first WTC finals

they will slowly bring in deepak chahar, boobi, rishi dhawan, and dhawal kulkarni into the squads too
