There is one caveat still in Tyagi's bowling, his habit of going too wide for the right hand batters is still not sorted.

Due to this problem he often ends on giving freebies to the batters to score runs.

 

He is at his best when he attacks the stumps...so his lengths are not an issue..it's his line which he has to control.

Check Cricbuzz, they were quoting speeds of most deliveries. 

 

That was his speed range in his first spell. He did bowl a high % at 142 k.

142 wasnt a high percentage. It was his average speed yesterday. 
Rauf averaged 146 kph yesterday and 147 in two games prior. The data is available for all.

The average speed is often very close to the highest % speed.

I think it is this tendency to attack the stumps too much that is the issue in the first place.  It is why our bowlers keep going wide . In order to angle it back in .  

 

They are overly attacking and look to either attack the stumps or go for the head. 

 

Siraj is particularly guilty of this. 

 

Even in ODIs, I feel that 5th/6th stump line and a good length is often very effective and is good defensive option especially if it's not swinging enough.

You're right, but what I would advocate that BCCi should try to create multiple Bumrah's.

We have a habit of pinning all our hopes on one or two individuals which if they get injured then we are left with no alternatives.

 

Even now, whenever Bumrah is not available, our bowling strength seems depleted and weak. Bumrah has that psychological factor which unfortunately none of the other pacers were able to create.

Without Bumrah we lack 2 crucial elements ....

 

An enforcer pacer

A pacer who can bowl quick accurate yorkers 

 

Tyagi, Harshit and Mayank Y can be groomed for similar roles too. And multiple such pacers can play together.

Then with a very potent attack we dont need to play jugaadu ARs and play with soecialist batsmen..as premium bowling should be able keep the target below par or kill the chase…esp neutralize lower order resistance against us which has always been our achiles heel
