Hopefully he's not dropped. He did well besides today as an enforcer. Pace and fitness was good too. And the dropped catch by that good for nothing Padikal dint help.

Yes ,he was given a job and he did well

He had runs to play with,anyway he is inexperienced but has the "know how"

Observed in both games of the Duleep Trophy too that Harshit was superb in the first innings and not that good in the 2nd innings. 

 

Needs a few more FC games under his belt to overcome this. Is not used to bowling in 2 long innings within 4 or 5 days.

 

Which is why I wanted Harshit to play the 3rd Duleep game too and atleast 1 India A game.

 

But our selectors showed lack of planning regarding this issue.

Harshit has been unlucky too with dropped catches, he has bowled well but numbers don't show that.

 

But good thing is he bowled well it was much needed. He supported Bumrah very well in the first inns and pulled things back. 

You have a good bowler in hands, hope he is backed and not discarded just like they did with Akashdeep.

It's a good pool to have Akashdeep,Harshit,Siraj,Shami at the moment in Aus to contribute with Bumrah

Bumrah allowed newbies Harshit and Washington to bowl to the tail and pick their wickets to give them confidence.

 

Did not try to go for a 2nd fifer himself.

 

Love this aspect of his captaincy. Thinking about building a good team.

Yea Bumrah is good at backing youngsters and is unselfish. 

I like that Rana is both a strong brute and has brains, that ball to dismiss Carey would have made Bumrah proud.

I didn't watch bowling today as I was in the office.

Expected harshit to outbowl Siraj n take 3 wickets in second innings too.

Now in pink ball test , he could be replaced by akashdeep or Prasidh.

Actually v should think of resting one of boom or siraj from second test.

Akashdeep should play.

This Rohit had said he takes responsibility for the recent debacle. If he actually means that, then there has to be some repercussions / changes. Why can’t he surrender captaincy then lol.

Harshit was great. Has a nasty bouncer and then good follow up delivery.

 

But I'd still play Akashdeep at Adelaide. Need someone to move the pink ball. Siraj has done enough to retain the spot
