Ind shoule invest in kuldeep sen, simarjeet, rana all are tall and 140+ kmph India has been producing tall fast bowlers for quite some time. But coaches like Dravid used to say that we don't have any advantage of tall fast bowlers. Sen, Simarjeet, Harshit, Prasidh, Tyagi, Yudhvir, Mayank...so many pacers are 6.1 or above and can clock 140+ speed. Mohsin, Vidwath Kaverappa, Umar Nazir, Arshdeep, Khaleel, Himanshu, Akashdeep are tall but dont have that much pace. But they are still serviceable enough. Umran, Mukesh Choudhary aren't that tall but have skillsets. One has extreme pace with decent accuracy on line, other has ability to move the bowl at a skiddy pace. It's upto BCCI now to ensure these bowlers don't fall off the track. express bowling, tapandrun and bouncers 3

Run of the mill player does not cut out. Yes some run of the mill can make it big but they are super hardworking and have a lot of smarts. Inplace of investing in high potential bowlers Ind kept on investing low potential bowlers in last 3/4 years that got to a place that Ind have been playing with just 1 fast bowler in t20is and had to take 3 bowler who had less than 5 test to aus for a series of 5 tests. Agree with every name on the list mentioned. Some of these bowlers should be told that they have to pulll their socks. Think kahleel, tyagi , mohsin have been talking it lightly and are good and confortable being picked by some side in IPL , they are not pushing hard for Ind call-up. Take khaleel he is only few LAF in Ind who has height and got the ingredients have been in Ind cricketing system yet he is not making anything out of it. When Arash is nt playing he should be the 1st person Ind should go for but he does not look intnl quality often. Yudhvir should have been tried in t20is already, bowls 140 kmph, tall hits the wkt hard, can contribute with bat batting at 8/9/10, looked a committed fielder in deep.

Krishna does not bowl close to 145 kmph regularly or even 140 kmph regularly hence he is not that effective. Harshit in his limited career has shown that he has the mental strength to bounce back from the lows, Prasidh on the other hand still bowls nervously. I am not worried about a young bowler going for runs as long as he has the self belief in himself. Shardul, Shami, Bumrah too were similar when started. Harshit is younger, fitter comparatively and stronger as well...kinda like Umesh Yadav. Though he need to get rid of some extra fat. Prasidh has injury concerns and need to seriously muscle up a bit. Its not easy to sustain 140-145 kph with that physique.

Its not easy to sustain 140-145 kph with that physique. if pradish does not bowl 142+ kmph regularly he is not the bowler team would want. Then all he is doing is bowling just 1 length and not the pace for that length. It would be chest height bouncer ball after ball, not many top batter would find it hard to get 4s not leave the ball which they donot want to play To be effective his kind bowling he needs to be close to 145 kmph pace bracket Just for an example take Naseem when he was bowling in 145 bracket he was a different bowler, seeming in and out. Nw he looks ordinary bowler as he is hardly bowling 140+ consistently Edited February 8, 2025 by tapandrun
tapandrun Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 Saw some pak vs nz highlights, rourke was bowling 140+ consistently hitting bat hard and getting bounce, keeper was standing deep on an easy pace and easy bounce wkt. Was bit expensive for the match but good pace and carry on relatively easy wkt singhvivek141 1

I remember when he debuted in 2021 he was easily clocking 140-147kph effortlessly against England & WI. But he isn't putting that much effort these days, though he can still bowl 136-143k..but very few delieveries above 144-145. Bowlers actually will bowl quicker if you pair them with a faster one. As they will feel the heat. Shami has always bowled quicker if he has to bowl alongside Umesh & Bumrah, while when we pair him with Bhuvi and he will oscillate in 136-141 range. express bowling and tapandrun 2

Shami of 2015 to 2023 was a master of slow and low pitches with variable bounce. Bowled skiddg quick stump directed balls with some seam movement and mixed this with some suddenly bouncing balls which became difficult to handle due to variable bounce. This 130 to 140 k avatar of his is looking innocuous like Philander in Asia.
