Harshit's speeds have been a big disappointment in this series. Reduced every match and reduced in every spell in the same match.

 

While Prasidh has bowled 140 k to 145 k whenever needed. Fastest of 146 k.

I hope Harshit and Prasidh continue to improve. Ability to bounce back is very important and this should give Prasidh some confidence. 
Morkel should try n do something for Prasidh’s telegraphed slow ball issue lol. Guy has the worst slow ball I’ve seen. 
Line n length grunt man Arshdeep kept it tight.
Hopefully another 145 plus (consistently) quick joins them soon.

Rana ka runup while approaching the bowling mark lagta hai ke he will collapse anytime on the pitch

His main problem is cross base alignment. I don't see any problem with his nonbowling arm. I think runup has an angle. If he runs straight, his cross base alignment will improve.

Not sure of the speeds he is clocking, the new action is not that far off what he had in IPL (mark wood like action), he decrease the jump height, and his non-bowling arm his now not going that up (which is good).

 

if he continues and remain injury free he can touch same or similar pace as earlier.

He does have pace but not consistent pace. Current action is ungainly and inconsistent.

And even that inconsistent pace is going away. Harshit's quickest deliveries in the last 2 matches is 141.x kph both times. And he is often dropping down to early 130s.

That middle overs bowling by the Indian seam trio was impressive. 

 

They were extremely accurate with their lines and it was all within the stumps or hugging that sixth stump line. 

 

Prasidh got the breakthroughs because he was the quickest of the lot. 

 

Even when Rana and Arshdeep got hit for sixes, they persisted with tight lines and didn't make it easy for the Saffers. 

 

Line bowling is far more important in ODIs , especially outside the powerplay.

If one wants to be a top pacer in international cricket then it's important that he does not choose " either / or ".

 

Wayward pace won't work in the long run and neither would cutting pace for accuracy. 

 

Tight lines are very important but if it is achieved by bowling much slower then it is a bad habit being developed.
