No team swoops in for the kill as with as much ferocity and intent as the Lankans do, whenever they sense an opportunity for a win on day 5. To hold them at bay for 4 sessions is an extremely admirable effort.

SA is known for not losing matches. Aus is know for winning matches. When they clashed few months back, Aus proved to be bit better.

The previously held wisdom always stated that, even if you are trying to save a game and bat out time, you should 'still play your natural game' and score when the opportunity presents itself. This way, the opposition focus turns from dismissing the batsmen to containing the bleeding of runs. The Saffies have completely turned this logic on its head. their preferred mode of saving seems to be ask their frontline batsmen to completely shut all of the run pipes. Nobody does this better than Faf Du Plesis. And this is working for them also.
