FischerTal Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I remember having reached school and then my teacher was called to the other room and she came back in the room hyperventilating and started saying repeatedly "somebody attacked the twin towers". None of us knew what happened but we were given the day off from school that day. It was even a more surreal moment for my father, who used to work in New York City at that time. He would take the NJ transit to work and he saw the twin towers falling before his eyes. Everything was so jam packed that day. Nothing made sense at all. Nothing... RIP 9/11 victims

I recall we had a half a day at school that day My sister she was in high school in Jersey City and it's on a hill so you can see most of the nyc. She watched it from there.

Meanwhile, one of the brokers i would typically use to execute traders sat in the first tower to fall, and had changed his Bloomberg signature to 'it's all over'.

I was/am on the US west coast (CA), so by the time I woke up, the planes had already hit the towers. Got a call from India about attack on Twin Towers and only then turned on the TV.

Thats what I was thinking and so confused about. Started doubting my sanity. I was like I'm 20 and was in class 1 at that time. how the feck did this guy end up in 8th standard? As for me. I couldnt really care. I do remember watching it on a mounted tv at my cousin's place. For some reason I also remember the exact time. I was watching it at 730pm india time. But didnt grasp the importance of this event at all honestly.
