Some of the statements are just KTesque on the foot in mouth scale. Whether Rahul can hack it or not, we cannot judge him on 1 innings.

Only better innings will follow, i'm sure By now he himself would have realized how poor the innings was. He can only improve from this. Will give him lot of credit when he plays really well, but no way today.

If he was getting tied down and then tried that shot, you can understand that he was in a hurry to score. But to play that shot, right after getting dropped seemed downright stupid. In any case, pick and stick with this guy for 5-6 tests before passing judgement
