SELVAM Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Mod plz correct spelling mistake in thread title
Guest nimesh632 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 on mohd. shammi I think he is better than Zaheer khan, In test matches some time he bowl very tight length. I think he is super after kapil .
Number Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Bowled really well and unless there is a major screw up he will be in the XI for whole world cup now. Of all our bowlers, he is the most skilful. On a good day, he can have wicket taking ability and pace of Yadav and control of Ishant/Bhuvi.
Sid_SuhaiL Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Just wish he can stop his habit of bowling a leg side line frequently & he'll be one of the bests in the world today.
NareshK Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He is a very good ODI bowler. He needs to improve consistency to become a good bowler in tests.
beetle Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He is the best we have and my second favorite bowler.
Gaban Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Just wish he can stop his habit of bowling a leg side line frequently & he'll be one of the bests in the world today. Bowling leg side filth is not a habit. It indicates a combination of poor fitness and discipline. I am not a fan of Shami at all, despite his obvious talent.
CoverDrive Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 sometimes he tends to get casual and bowl all over the place. really lost it in the test series
rkt.india Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He has a long way to go. He bowls some good stuff in between a lot of rubbish.
JaFanatic Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He can become fastest to 100 wickets Need 26 wk in 10 games to break the current record
Number Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Need 26 wk in 10 games to break the current record Has some minnows and WI to play against.
mishra Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Has some minnows and WI to play against. Why dont play on fast tracks?
Cricket_Hacker Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 The first name(bowler) on the sheet(atleast in ODIs,deserves backing in tests due to talent). Looks leaner, meaner and fitter and was really running in against Pakistan.Good to see.
MechEng Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 47 wickets in 12 tests, is good. His bowling strike rate is 57 and only needs to improve his average which he can.
SELVAM Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 I like him. When he first came to team his bowling speed is around 130kph. Now he's bowling around 140kph. While bhuvi is not showing any signs of improvement still bowls around 127kph:facepalm:
MK55 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Was impressed by the pace he maintained in the first match. Was always around 140-145k. I saw him previously bowling at those speeds but it was only in his first few overs. In the last match this wasn't the case. Hope he continues to work hard on his fitness so that he can sustain bowling at that intensity. Anyways he's best in the current team at bowling yorkers. If he could bowl them at 145k at the death, that will be excellent for us. Not convinced by Mohit. Dropped in pace again probably because he was looking to bowl within himself. Not a good sign especially considering that it was the first match. Still, I guess he's the only decent option we have ATM as the third pacer in the existing squad.
