I guess he got injured for some time immediately after WC and then came back in the home AUS series IIRC. Was not the same again. Regressed even more in the 2004 Aus tests

Talent + Effort = Phenomenal Success Talent + Poor Effort = Good Initial Impression, ends up as a mixed bag of failure and success No Talent + Poor effort = Utter failure at every stage No talent + Effort = Slow and steady success
