adi B Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 bhuvi can play instead of mohit only but mohit has done well and impressed us,he has sealed his spot. yadav is a must because of his pace and also looks in rhythm,if he again goes into the erratic mode, bhuvi will replace him.shami is a sure shot in the playing x1
Bleed-Blue Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Must Be Or Don't Think They Would Have Risked Him And Binny Would Have If He Wasn't 100% They Would Got A Replacment I'm Sure By Now If He Was Still Carrying A Niggle
MK55 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 BK seems to be 100% fit. Was bowling decently but not penetrative enough. Bowling at those speeds is not going to bother most international batsmen unless its a helpful track for the seamers. And wickets these days are flat 90% of times. A team would require at least 3 strike bowlers to take wickets. Gone are those days when you can include players who only look to contain and bowl majorly in the opening and middle overs. If you don't take wickets, you are only helping the batsmen lay a foundation and then the death overs would not matter. No bowler will be spared BK can be useful on those tracks that favor swing and seam bowlers. Can be a useful addition if he improves his batting as then he can play the role of an all rounder.
KFC_Zinger Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 well he is not unfit.... one more game where he actually bowls 10 overs will give us more idea... on a side note, Indian bowlers are not getting tested, i hope that does not happen in QF :)
GautiMaan Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 He could play instead of Mohit, could be useful with the bat
afan Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 He looks fit, but is he match form fit to play in the big games is the question. Shami Umesh and Mohit is bowling well and has strong arm as well...Bhuvi seems to lack here. He shud play the remaining associate ones to see if Dhoni can risk him in the last 3 games
zen Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Hard to judge a bowler who hasn't played competitive cricket for a while. However, considering even this factor, Bhuvi was extremely poor. Mohinder Amarnath or Ganguly could have done similar job if not better (and ofc their batting is at a different level) Bhuvi's bowling, along with UAE's batting, was the reason, I turned away from the game. Moving forward, Bhuvi will have to improve his game not incrementally but in multiples
fineleg Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 What were the average speeds for Bhuvi and Mohit Sharma in the UAE match for their 5 overs respectively?
MK55 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 What were the average speeds for Bhuvi and Mohit Sharma in the UAE match for their 5 overs respectively? BK average 131-132k , Mohit was very disappointing pace wise. Must have averaged around 132-133k, similar to BK
cowboysfan Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Me thinks he really is not suited for Aussie pitches.
SELVAM Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I would play Bhuvi in all games. I still feel he is our best ODI bowler. Replace Yadav with Bhuvi  yadav is must in playing 11. Bhuvi can only replace mohitsharma
Cricketics Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I want to see him how he does against Windies. If he gets to bowl his full quota of 10 overs against them, I am assured he will take a fiver. He will get Gayle Simmons, Smith, Dwayne for sure.

Cricketics Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 :hysterical: please remember to bump this thread and make me look like an idiot. So Dwayne won't be playing. He will still find a way to get a fiver lol.
Sid_SuhaiL Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Looked fit , should get another game or a two, maybe he can get back in rythm and the team will have an option to choose b/w him & Mohit in KO matches.
singhprakash72 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 If ball swings he is handy otherwise Shami or Yadav is a better bet even though Yadav is more erratic.
vijay50 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Me thinks he really is not suited for Aussie pitches. ++++10.
Cricket_Hacker Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Should be reserved for when India play in England
vvvslaxman Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Radhika ji' date= please avoid this thread. For others, what's your view on him? :giggle:
