That's what best timers can do. SRT doesn't do that as often as say Ganguly, Anwar, Mark Waugh, VVS who were amazing timers of the ball. Post 2000, Yuvi, Rohit, Bell, Ashwin, Rahane, etc are good timers.

SRT did do it a lot but he also had other strengths so people do not notice is as much. i remember how many times he will just touch ball even in his last 2 years and ball will race away.
