Crookbond Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I made a Google Scholar search for the title "Studies on the effect of Anthropogenic Liquid Waste on soil properties and crop growth" didn't land up with any result. The last time someone said - We did pioneering research on cow urine as disinfectant - it was some 4-page paper published in some third grade journal which isn't even indexed by Google Scholar.
Texan Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 TBH the talent in UPA ministry(administration, education, knowledge)>>>>the talent in NDA How do these jokers run the country is beyond my imagination !!! And yet despite having advanced degrees from Cambridge and Harvard, they could not even correct a formula for calculating GDP numbers.

rkt.india Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Cow and buffalo dung has been used as fertilizer for ages.
rkt.india Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Every time a farmer starts a new crop, he used cow and buffalo dung to improve fertility of the land before sowing it.
Gollum Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 And yet despite having advanced degrees from Cambridge and Harvard' date=' they could not even correct a formula for calculating GDP numbers.[/quote'] They are better educated, more talented but also crooks, corrupt, and very little loyalty to the country. NDA ministers may not be well educated, may be a bit naive but at least you can't doubt their patriotism.
mishra Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I don't understand why people are laughing at Gadkari . Human waste excreta and urine are considered as natural fertilisers for plants Only a city boy with absolutely no clue to farming will question this fact. People are laughing cos Gadakari took it to next level. :--D
mishra Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Every time a farmer starts a new crop' date=' he used cow and buffalo dung to improve fertility of the land before sowing it.[/quote'] We pay the shepherds to let her sheeps stay/sleep before planting the cane. Offcourse, Its cheapest and reliable fertilizer
randomGuy Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Use of human excreta for growing vegetables is common in china, which is also one of the main reasons why they wash them extensively before eating.
Crookbond Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 may be you should try simple searches in google scholar - scholar.google.co.in/scholar?hl=en&q=urine+fertilizer&btnG= Why should I try a more simpler search when the article talks about a specific title of a specific paper which is pioneering research that doesn't exist? The issue was about talking about a paper which doesn't exist; not urine as a fertilizer. Urine can be an excellent fertilizer with some pre-conditions.

I am sure you are aware of how research papers are accepted in International journals..and you are probably more aware of how these PR articles get published and written by obsucre authors with no scientific knowledge ...

Can you please try to understand what I'm trying to say? The person in the interview says "I have done pioneering research and here is the title of my paper XYZ". Now, I go to search the title XYZ and there is NO trace of the article on the Internet. THAT is the issue and NOT about "urine fertilizer research". Oh and FYI, these "international" journals are not some one piece identity. Therefore, I also check how they're ranked - Google Scholar makes it very easy to check. Further, I can assure you that just because there's a research article - the matter doesn't settle. A research article is one argument (for/against) some hypothesis. A collection of research articles is what settles the matter.

beetle Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Why does he make the gardner carry his piss.?..that is against the law.Why can't he carry it him self or do it directly o the plants? Our politicians and their obsession with susu...:headshake:

I did find this from google scholar: http://www.worldcat.org/title/tudies-on-the-effect-of-anthropogenic-liquid-waste-alw-on-soil-properties-and-crop-growth/oclc/828136661 Though yeah, an online copy is not available. Seems it's available at the library of the university.
