rkt.india Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 He does not have a range of strokes to be a good T20 batsman. People are terming him hack because he couldn't bat at 150SR in a T20. He was one of the highest run getters for Jharkhand in Ranji trophy, carrying their batting on his own.

DD management screwed up to think that he's a hack and Albie sat waiting for his turn... Many Ranji player don't get bought in auction. He shouldn't be playing in IPL... Great logic![/quote'] Both Jadav and Tiwary came to the crease at the same time.Jadav scored 63 of 34 and Tiwary 26 off 25 DD needed 24 off 16 which was easily winnable.Then Tiwary scored 8 off 9 balls when Ishant was bowling. Yes Yuvi and Duminy got cheaply but Jadav got them into a winning position.But then Tiwary screwed them and lost the match for DD
maniac Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 S.Tiwary might be a domestic legend much like Vinny Kumar,3 300 Jadeja,Sir Jogi etc but obviously is no measure of his quality as a cricketer. Now T20 or IPL for that matter may not be a benchmark but it definitely tells you a few things about a cricketer-Awareness to the match situation,ability to handle good quality bowling/batting from international players and ability to handle pressure none of which Tiwary has shown in his IPL stints bar 1 or 2 games. So Yes he is a hack by all accounts

He does not have the game for ODIs or Tests either . I dont like the term hack , but if there was one batsmen player apt to describe it has to be Thiwary . I almost feel sorry for him when he bats cos he seems to try really hard , but hes not even up to IPL standards
