Invasion 550 Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Lindsay Lohan was photographed carrying a copy of the Koran after her first day of community service in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday. The actress - who is of Irish and Italian heritage and was raised as a Catholic - held a hard copy of the Muslim holy book in her arm as she finished a day of office work at a children's center. She reportedly arrived two hours late. It comes as the 28-year-old embarks on an 'emotional detox', giving up alcohol and dating. Scroll down for video... It is not the first time Lindsay has shown an interest in other religions. During the height of her fame as a teen star, she wore a Kabbalah red string bracelet, which wards off misfortune brought about by the 'evil eye'. She was also rumored to be attending Kabbalah classes, and in 2012 she reportedly joined Courtney Love's Buddhist chanting group. Last year Lindsay described herself as a 'very spiritual person' in a docu-series with Oprah Winfrey. 'I'm a very spiritual person and I've become more spiritual as time has gone on,' she told the talk show host. 'I'm really in touch, whether it's prayer or meditation... there are so many powers greater than me in the world. I've been blessed and lucky enough to have been given a gift to share with other people.' For instance does Pakistan have any famous hindu preacher who converts thousands to his faith openly, the equivalent of Zakir Naik in India ?

Clarke Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I do know of RSS and Hinduvita. And i also mentioned more so in Pakistan. I know of the English Defence League as well but I would be crazy to compare England to India in terms of religious freedom on the ground. Coming back to my original question, do you have an equivalent of a minority Hindu/Christian/Sikh etc preacher like Zakir Naik who openly converts people ? For the record, even the UK banned Zakir Naik's entry.

The 1-2 per cent of the Pakistani population.
vvvslaxman Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Not sure why this is a news? It boosts the image of Islam? Changing faith won't change DNA. You can change faith 5 times in a single day lol.
G_B_ Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 i remember that kabbalah phase in hollywood. you had wrist bands everywhere
sensible-indian Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Urm. Okay. Good for you? Who is that music director btw? A R Rahman.
Shivaji bhonsle Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 She hasn't converted. Confusing thread title.
Temujin Khaghan Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 This stupid b!tch should have earned atleast $100M by now based on the craze she had among youth about 10 years ago. Probably her life in the last 10 years is the meaning of "slow death self destruction suicide of a fantastic career" anne hathaway, scarlett johannson, emma stone were lesser stars when LL has rocked a few hits without even a hero in her movies. JLAw wasnt even in the scene. look where they are now. what a shame... i hope she recovers atleast now.
