maniac Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Really disappointed,on one hand you have countries like AUs,Eng and South Africa where the drainage system is top notch and on top of that they use helicopters and other gizmos to get the ground ready and we are still struggling to get the match going after the ground being dry for the last few hours It makes sense if this would have been a 2nd tier center but this is one of the premier cricketing grounds in India if not in the world. These BCCI babus are filling their own coffers which is obvious but c'mon atleast give something back you a-holes.WIll give Dada some time, hopefully he turns it around but totally disappointed. sscomp32 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) Really pathetic drainage and also Not to forget this ground has to host the T20 WC final Next year. Edited October 8, 2015 by sscomp32
maniac Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 Really pathetic drainage and also Not to forget this ground has to host the T20 WC final Next year. Didn't they already mess up once during the 2011 world cup when they were not ready? It is sad because always considered Eden to be our equivalent of Lords,
maniac Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 the stadium is fully constructed right?Yeah I beleive so...just refreshing my memory, they were not ready for the originally scheduled Ind vs Eng WC game in the 2011 WC but apparently did host some later matchesZim vs KenSA vs IreNet vs IreThe stadium hosted the remaining three scheduled World Cup 2011 Matches on 15, 18 and 20 March 2011. In the last of these three matches (Kenya vs Zimbabwe), the stadium had the minimal ticket-purchasing crowd in its recorded history with 15 spectators having bought tickets
maniac Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 Can't pick just on CAB though I bet this might be the problem with most A centers leave alone the B centers .....I do recollect helicopter being used in Mumbai though not sure
Lannister Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 15 spectators Really? big lol then....It doesn't help either the way our team is performing....
maniac Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 Really? big lol then....It doesn't help either the way our team is performing....That was minnow games in the World cup though but still the World Cup...That is more to do with ICC than the problem with the venue though
cowboysfan Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 this whole series has been a complete farce, what is happening to indian cricket?
Gollum Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 BCCI is corrupt to the core, all the money only ends up in the pockets of a greedy few. They simply don't care about Indian cricket, have taken the gullible public for a ride all these years. If they were really honest we would be number 1 in all formats and have the best infrastructure in the whole world. Where we are presently in cricket should shame all Indian fans but sadly most of them care only about IPL circus.
bowl_out Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Bad time to host a match on the East coast... Should have had it elsewhere... Screw BCCI rotation policy...Chennai ODI will be washed out as well
TheWall Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Except the crowd capacity, nothing is good at Edens...
CommonMan Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 behavior of the crowd is also worse sometimes
sandeep Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Pathetic by BCCI. Simply not good enough. Let's see what "dada" says and does about it.

BlueBee Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Pathetic by BCCI. Simply not good enough. Let's see what "dada" says and does about it.He said there's nothing wrong with the drainage system
sandeep Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 He said there's nothing wrong with the drainage system Well, Maybe as a new head honcho, he has to back his guys publicly. Hopefully, he's also following up and making sure that they get their $h!t together and fix this going forward....
fineleg Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Really hope Dada does not do the same thing as predecessors.
