Nohit will end up as  the second best odi opener and one of three best odi batsmen from India. He has scored runs everywhere in odis.He has not achieved the same success in test . I don't think he will ever have the same success in test matches due his inability to curb loose shots.

nohit has failed badly in nzl and saf when their was swing and seam off the pitch on offer.he has done okay in England and not to forget sri Lanka where he has been a complete failure

it was a sift dismissal, nothing special on the ball or anything, it was a two paced wicket. Ball stopped at him. Same case was with Rahane. Can happen to batsman in the first over when you dont really know the nature of the pitch but Dhawan, Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni played really poor shots when they knew how the pitch was behaving and should have known that they didn't need to score 180 here.

People are labeling him FTB but why, don't compare his tests stats with Odi stats.

He is one of the few match winners this lousy odi/T20 team has and why is everyone trying to lump his test failures to his odi success.

This guy has scored runs in odis every where ever since he started opening, he has been a different player.More than Kohli if this guy gets a start we can expect a big score from him, he was simply unstoppable in Australia, not many Indian players in history can say they were as good as this guy in Australia.

Yuvraj was lousy test player but was very successful in other formats. Not everyone can succeed in all formats and when Yuvraj got to play over 35 tests, why can't people give this guy a chance  and is there any great batsman he is stopping from playing tests.

I was always against this guy getting so many chances but he has become a match winner in in other two formats and there is no real batting talent who is knocking on the door and Indian team for a foreseeable  future has to play with 6 batsmen in tests and he is one of the top 6 in country.

Nohit, shikhar, warner,Smith, kock, guptill etc are all products of "current generation flat odi pitches".not that I blame them because you'll hardly find pitches in odis having some spice.pitches all around the wirld have become flatter be it saf,England

agree with this,

seems marketing boys have strong influence on odi pitch curators.

though would also add how hopeless the Aussie batsmen are against reasonable quality spin too.
