zen
Well its a never ending problem unless a full scale war break out and pakistan convincingly defeated like like Germany and Japan in 1945.Islamic brotherhood is too strong , you can suppress them for time being but they will rise again and againAgree. However, the "brotherhood" keeps rising because many of them are brainwashed in to believing that is the right thing to do. Having special status under Article 370 does not translate in to having the right to go against Ind Edited February 17, 2016 by rett

Shivaji bhonsle
At this rate, India might not survive after 100 years. We might see anti nationals, separatists breaking this country in pieces. The only good thing is we won't be alive to witness it.

Right now it may not be viable for new countries to spring up in the sub-con, but in future who knows it may sound as a better option

MechEng
Now these people have a issue hoisting the National Flag in the Universities. The bigger problem is media giving them more attention. When media starts ignoring them, they will lose the motivation to do irrational things. adi B

If a large proportion of the population is made up of such idiots / troublemakers, things may turn chaotic. As they say who needs enemies when you have such friends! Just go to Facebook and the kind of rubbish that s been spread by lot of people are mind boggling. People are getting brainwashed by some fools. Especially one particular community. MechEng
I think we must deal with this issue more peacefully rather being aggressive, this might sound unattractive and passive solution but it is the most effective one. Remember, Mughals and the British were able to conquer India not through war but through playing politics in an already highly polarized society. Retaliating to JNU students in an aggressive manner may seem natural but can risk the society becoming polarized, giving foreign powers an opportunity to mess with India again. Remember, Mughals and the British were able to conquer India not through war but through playing politics in an already highly polarized society. Retaliating to JNU students in an aggressive manner may seem natural but can risk the society becoming polarized, giving foreign powers an opportunity to mess with India again.A few points:1. Indian society has been polarized since centuries. All you have to do is read some objective accounts of medieval India. This is hardly a recent development. 2. These students were issuing threats to the Republic of India. The utter imbeciles were calling Afzal Guru, an unrepentant terrorist, a martyr. This is not dissent. It is a battle cry. 3. The Mughal empire was established by Babur, who overthrew Ibrahim Lodhi. The Brits gained a foothold in Bengal by beating Siraj ud Daulah. In both cases, there were betrayals from the ruler's side. It had nothing to do with playing politics in a polarized society. Same applies to Mahmud Ghaznavi. These 'students' are up there with Mir Jafar or Jai Chand. Unfortunately for us, our country has plenty of people who display pure 'Pakistaniyat' (basically people who hate their inherent Indic identity). 4. The world respects power, not pussyfooting. Gandhigiri doesn't work in all cases. Proof? The partition of India. Edited February 19, 2016 by jalebi_bhai
