If i remember correctly first Sami and then Bhuvi broken down thats why we ended up playing Bumrah. Saran had got his opportunities in first 2-3 games .

I would play Pandey in place of Yuvraj.

Yuvi has bowled in only one match in this WC.

It is better to go with a proper batsman who has the ability to score quickly.

Pandya and  Raina can share the 5th bowler's slot....as they have done in 3 of the league matches.

man i would have kept yusuf pathan in the loop since asia cup... but i think dhoni is not interested in KKR players.

 

yusuf pathan can more than manage in indian conditions. use and throw player, not a permanent in the side by any means.

 

for a popcorn version like 20-20, we need to keep atleast 4/5 use and throw players purely based on the form...

 

come next T20WC we should get the new use and throw players based on the previous 2 IPLs

Its happens. Their are matches when even the great kohli doesn't score runs. The key is to play as many quality in form batsman as you can to increase the odds of someone performing in every match. I think win or lose its hard to argue now that the selectors did a bad job in picking the squad. Except Picking Dhawan ahead of Iyer. Although to be fair it could be because he is still young.

Can't expect new comers to come and blaze their way in. Should keep expectations low and anything above expectations is bonus and anything below is acceptable.

Has everyone forgotten that Bhajji is there in the squad too?He has played in Mumbai since eternity and will think better than Negi when put under pressure.If Ashwin bowls 3 overs at the start and Gayle sees him out.Then he will simply toy with Jaddu,Pandya,Raina and Negi if he plays.We need proper 5th bowler so that Pandya is not needed at all.

 

In Eng vs SA match on this pitch,all pacers were getting tonked around and only Moeen Ali,Tahir and Duminy were going for less runs.If Kohli and Dhoni bat 3 and 4,we probably won't need Raina/Pandey/Rahane's batting services.

 

The only thing in Negi's favour is he is an unknown quantity and all Windies batsmen barring Gayle are right handed. News reports from practice sessions suggest Pandey / Negi will play.
