tweaker Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Only one fear about him is injuries. He should not be over bowled. express bowling and G_B_ 2
philcric Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 He got an opportunity to play only because of injuries to a few bowlers and a few others getting absolutely pasted in their previous games. Indian selectors tweaker 1

Bumrah is very accurate and Accuracy being his strength - he is bound to continue to succeed. folks like umesh varun and even Shammi , they have more pace than Bumrah but on accuracy and control , all 3 and even ishant is way behind. only Bhuvi can be close to bumrah in control. All other pacers do not have great Control at all. Bumrah manages to bowl the Ball that he intends to bowl. bumrah does not bowl way outside leg stump..where as umesh n varun regularly end up bowling 2 or 3 wides outside leg stump in their spells of 6 to 8 overs. umesh n varun need to really improve upon accuracy else this GUY will replace them in TESTS too..very soon. express bowling and tweaker 2
Malcolm Merlyn Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Unless he develops variation he will be over.

Bumrah can bowl: Accurate yorkers Slower balls Slower ball bouncers Incoming delivery Hold it's line delivery What more variations do you want? Do you want another Jade Dernbach who has so many variations that he doesn't even know which ball to bowl when and gets pasted... Edited June 24, 2016 by Forever Indian express bowling 1

With only gully cricket experience, I have always assumed that, to even have a chance at being a front-line bowler at the highest level, you must bowl > 90% of your deliveries exactly as intended. But reality seems to suggest otherwise. express bowling 1

Then came to realise that in India to bowl anything more that 130 k has to be like a very very unique thing and to sustain 138k plus ball after ball...once in a life time so these guys are special..as good as gully/village level bowlers from pak/aus/sa..greatest ever from India all same level ( malnutrition-ed junk eater worshiping country) ( lots of self loath) you have bowlers like buwaneshorry singh who f'n wont eat on the other side and insist on maintaining their girlish figure..his dad says 'beta' dont ever drink come home by 9 pm, i am like 'pie brain' first teach your son basics of nutrition and then make yourself sparse so that you son has a career.
express bowling Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) The 2nd season is definitely the most challenging for every player. But, if Bumrah can continue to combine accuracy with pace and bounce, he will have the recipe for success. We need more bowlers who can do this. The area i feel bumrah needs to work on is wkts with new ball, there wud be days when he might have to take up really quick due to intial bad overs by some. Doesnt seem to me a bowler who ll get wkts with new ball. express bowling 1

How is Nathu Singh in terms of Pace, bounce and accuracy? Avesh Khan? Don't think there is any other new bowler who has all these 3. I was impressed with Sandeep Sharma at the death. Him along with Mohit were too good in one the IPL matches.
G_B_ Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 More than his wickets its his economy which is why he is valuable. Considering he always votes at the death Sent from my Wileyfox Swift using Tapatalk

From what I have seen , Nathu does combine pace/bounce and decent accuracy. So does Avesh Khan ( he is pacy for his age ). Another such bowler could be Ankit Rajpoot. Baggygreen786 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 24 wickets in t20 in 18 matches yet he failed to break Nannes [ Australian ] record in 2009 he took 27 wickets in 14 matches.[ one full year ] [ he is 2nd in the list but in 19 matches] I think Al-Amin better than Bumrah with 22 wickets in 14 matches in @ year.poor bumrah wicketless in 3rd t20i recently and india will not plays t20i again til January 2017 vs eng. in india.
