Hardik Pandya is dropped. What is Shami doing here? He should have been rested for this T20 series. I am a fan of Yadav but he should be kept away from T20's.

LOL just got late. IMO should have played raina. HE is out of form ok but always helps somewhere in field or with ball. Also whats the fault of Manish pandey??

Raina is captain of the India Green team in Duleep trophy. The problem for selectors is too many games happening at the same time. India A players too playing in Australia.

Bumrah is also in one of the squads in duleep trophy. Raina could have been sent as he already has no future in longer formats. 

There is no lower order power in this batting, Either binny or Rahane is bound to play in 11 or someone from rohit or kohli would be pushed down to adjust rahane at top and make lower order powerful

Only 6 batsmen which include Dhoni,Dhawan and Rahane..And yes,enough of Raina.Good that he is not in the squad.Manish Pandey would have been better choice than Binny.

Totally forgot about Bumrah. Yeah he too is in those squads. Don't know why Raina is dropped from the T20 team then. Hardik Pandya is dropped too. Selectors should have given a few more chances to Pandya to prove himself rather than Binny.

Pandya also is rightfully dropped..He needs to prove himself in A games..It was circumstantial needs thats why he was picked in t20 wc and asia cup..Guy cant bowl 4 overs properly and is called All rounder.

Even if guys like pandey, pandya, nair, samson, yuvraj , raina are busy with other matches.

Pant, unmukt, Sarfraz were still available and might have been ideal chance to throw in these guys. Its a t20 and they face those guys in ipl often.  Wouldnt have been if bad if one or two would have been send there. All of them are power hitter which this team srsly lack.

 

But someone kanjoos selected this team who didnt wanted to waste much money so they send half of the test team. Even kohli could have been rested and some new comers could have been given a chance. These are ideal chances to introduce few newcomers to same old t20 line up

Dismal squad. Zero big hitting down the order and the general lack of quality batsmen is disturbing.

 

Far too many bowlers there - quantity rather than quality. Death bowling looks very weak.

Agree with all the points. How dumb are selectors not to include a good lower order big hitter??? Shami should be rested. Yadav should not be playing in T20's. He is good in tests and should be playing only test matches.
