Here is a list of the worst bowling averages among seamers who have played more than 10 tests and picked up 30 wickets in the last 3 years.  None of  bowlers with highest averages are Indians.  We are not as bad as you think and others are not as good.

Hmmm maybe Indian seamers are not as bad as you are projecting them....

Even the 2 matches which Pak won recently are because of their wrist spinner yasir

County cricket has some criteria. They dont take rookies. You will have to have some international experience to play county cricket.

Varun Aaron played for Durham in 2014.

Gupta bhai @MCcricket has hyped a fast bowler from Rajasthan as well pankaj Singh who took loads of wickets in Ranji. I thought he was the best fast bowler in India at that time. He bowled horribly in England on a green wicket. Swing was his strength but he failed horribly. I am not saying did the wrong thing in hyping. Pankaj's stats were really good as well.

Those fast inswinging yorkers that he bowled were really good. He will be very handy in knocking down those pesky tailenders. Watch the video below of his 6-fer.

There is a quaint old world charm to this Duleep trophy production from BCCI.

http://www.bcci.tv/videos/id/2367/duleep-trophy-2016-17-india-red-vs-india-green-post-match-presentation

No loud banners no loud announcer, no crappy fan awards and no ball signing, ( understandably those are not needed here) smart spattering of  an appreciative crowd on a green seating area around the ground but yeah makes the cricket and cricketers come out honest as the way it used to be.  Why is everyone having a beard ?

Three things:

(1) Video quality is incredible.

(2) Seam position.

(3) The persistent howzatting ... not sure it's necessary.

Based on that list yes. But if you look beyond stats, compare the top 3 bowlers of aus, sa, nz,  eng, pak, SL to the likes of ishant, bhuvi, Umesh,  aaron then you can understand what I meant. If Taylor had not retired recently even Wi bowling of tailor, roach, Joseph,  (I forgot one guys name) looks better than above mentioned indian bowlers. So that only leaves zim whose bowlers are poorer than associate nations.

I think county teams are allowed 1 or 2 overseas players as of now. So Wat I meant is why should they pick indian fast bowlers for that limited number. If you see my above post I think they are only above zim and bangladesh bowlers amoung test playing nations (excluding shami)

Aus, SA and Eng ....yes, they have better pacers than us..... NZ  marginally better...... Pakistan is at par with us....SL and WI are worse.

NZ don't have all condition pacers apart from Wagner. They look ordinary if the ball is not swinging. They have better stats as they get to play  50% of their tests in NZ.

Pakistani pacers ...I have discussed in another thread.

Jerome Taylor was a very ordinary bowler. Kemar Roach was decent but he is not playing. They don't have any other who is good and has played even 5 tests. Joseph and Co....let them play a few, then we shall  assess them.

SL has only Dhamika Prasad who has done a good job. Eranga, Lakmal, Pradeep etc. have been bad at test level.

You also agree that only SL and Wi seamers are worse than ours. So why should county teams opt for these average guys for the limited 1 or 2 slots?

Also I have seen prasad, pra deep and eranga bowling much better than indian bowlers. But I accept it's debatable whether SL or ind have better seam attack.

I was not debating about counties taking or not taking our pacers.  They have their own system.

Just pointing out that there are many other pacers playing international cricket, especially from SL, WI, Pakistan  ...who have done worse than our pacers.

We should definitely look for better pacers but should also know where our pacers stand in terms of performance in the global scene.

how do you do that, whilst looking at stats how do you look beyond it. Does one just start starring at the wall with a deep expression ?

how exactly is Indian bowlers worse than SL,Pak,Eng presently ? can you please give some substantiation.

Did you see the two test matches India just won recently ?

Pankaj did not bowl on a green track in England he played two tests o my n bowled very well in first test n few dropped catches made him look ordinary ,he beat the bat many times n intact had bowl well, second test was  not so good, but he was one talent wasted by BCCI

Stats is only one of the criteria for judging quality. There are so many other factors. You can try to get some details on pragmatic selections policies.
