Overall the squad will be smaller I think, since it's a home series. I think the batting will be the same group. For bowlers, I think they will probably only carry 3 pacers in the squad(Shami and Ishant), and 1 of the other two(Umesh and Bhuvi), although they could go with Thakur. Spinners will be Ash+Jadeja for sure. Mishra's spot is probably the most in question, although he is a leggie, so that is a benefit. We may get a surprise spinner into the team, ie Chahal(another leggie). Overall, I don't think the playing 11 will be too different from the last series, just with a spinner replacing a pacer. Not sure how good a keeper he is and if he can even replace Saha. Ideally Pandey should be there in place of Rohit and Kuldeep too should be included in the squad as a backup incase Mishra doesn't perform well. Nathu is an exciting prospect but he is still raw and needs a few India A tours and maybe a season of domestic cricket before he plays for India. It will be the same squad except Binny and Shardul. tweaker 1
tweaker Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Selector should select Pandey in place of Rohit,but Virat has made it clear he wants Rohit in the team at any cost. The only change may be in place of Mishra but the selector will select Axar instead of Kuldeep
