Pujara struggled hard against both Ali and Lyon when we toured .He has some inherent issues defending against off spinners which turn into him.

Vijay has no such technical issues and has far more array of shots than Pujara .

really, didn't you watch Aus 2012 tour to India. Please watch them again, especially, the score cards. Lyon was there too and in the last test Delhi, it was a minefield and he scored 50s in both the innings while Lyong had a 7-fer in first innings and in the 4th innings chase he scored 82 of 92. It was one of the best innings you will ever against the turning ball on a minefield. Lyon went for over 4 an over. You are talking about Aus tour and he was a bit out of form and low in confidence at that time after a below average England tour.

Lyon was there too and in the last test Delhi, it was a minefield and he scored 50s in both the innings while Lyong had a 7-fer in first innings and in the 4th innings chase he scored 82 of 92. It was one of the best innings you will ever against the turning ball on a minefield.

On topic, yes. ChePu is easily India's best batsman against spin currently. Vijay is close 2nd. Then after few light years, you have Rahane and then Kohli ~ Rahul. Tailunt can't bat against any quality bowling.

More than technical, it is about confidence.  Thing is he played in England and there he lost his form and confidence. He could not get that back even on Aus tour. When your confidence is down and struggling for form, even the best batsmen can look bad.

3. Sehwag ~ Laxman (both had different styles though)

4. Gambhir ~ Pujara ~ Vijay

5. Dhoni

6. Ganguly

Both Sehwag and Laxman are better batsmen against Spin than Dravid.

 

Infact i would say Sehwag is even better than both Lara and Sachin and the best player of Spin in last 20-30 years on International cricket.

Just check the Mendis series how easily he read Medis off the pitch when whole team including fab four were looking clueless.

Kohli is better against spin than Pujara. How can anyone forget that Adelaide 4th innings score on that square turner? How can we forget few of his special knocks against Ajmal at his chucking best?

Kohli is nowhere near as good as Pujara against Spin.And that adelaide pitch was not a square turner rather a decent turning 5th day track.Both Vijay and Rahane were wrongly given out and we lost most other wickets trying to be aggressive no because the ball was turning square.

He is definitely our best batsman in Asia against spin or pace. He did struggle a bit against Lyon in Australia. I think he has mastered the act of batting on Asian pitches and can play spin or pace with ease on such pitches. Outside Asia, he seems to struggle against both pace and spin.

Against Ajmal in ODIs?

 

If anything Kohli and Rohit have been worst performers in this batting line up in Asia recently. Even Dhawan has done better than both of them.
